got the DD mid-October...according to sdn last cycle, some people heard back in November and some heard back all the way in March😕
but it's been too quiet lol

Is it too late to apply here? Secondary deadline is dec 15th I think.

Any other 9/18 interviewers anxiously awaiting decisions? I can't remember if they said they'd get back to us mid november or just november in general

Yeah, also interviewed on 9/18 and was wondering when they will release decisions

LM 60 I think? I interviewed here. This is my only ii so far. You guys know any other school that sends iis to low stats?
Charles Drew has a primary deadline of 11/25

University of Toledo 11/15

Might be worth looking into those if you haven’t yet

They said mid-late November for those who interviewed on 9/18
I feel like today or tomorrow is the earliest they may come out. Last year they submitted their first 3 rounds of As on Thursdays and Fridays, and the first round this year was on a Thursday... If not today or tomorrow, then I think we'll be waiting until next week or potentially after Thanksgiving, but this is really just a guess haha

anyone on here completed MMS program with Vermont and received an interview yet? they have the linkage agreement for an interview if you graduate with specific GPA but have yet to hear anything

anyone get an email to complete their secondary? Email says “we are eager to review your application but do not have your completed secondary application.”

skipped vermont since i was very burnt out after applying to forty eight schools but considering submitting now haha. love the rural health focus of the school

Has anyone received an email about Vermont’s Dean’s Medical Scholars (DMS) Program? Got the email 11/19 about the DMS program at the University of Vermont, and it mentioned that if admitted, participants would receive provisional admission to the Larner College of Medicine for the following year if a GPA of 3.0 was maintained. I’m curious if anyone has heard of, applied to or participated in this program in the past.

Any advice or information would be super helpful!

do you have to be invited to apply to this?

Their email states:

“The DMS is a year-long, unique and highly selective program designed for individuals who are mission aligned and are evaluated to need some academic enrichment prior to the start of medical school…”

Followed later by

“Please respond to this email to indicate whether you would like the Admissions Committee to consider you for this program or if you would prefer to have your application withdrawn from consideration.”

Congrats for the acceptances! Has anyone heard back with DD or A from the 10/4 interview date?
Yeah, I received DD this morning and interviewed on 10/4. The wording in the email was very strange to me though they say you will be notified if you are "accepted or waitlisted" later. Does this mean they do not reject DD people?

Thanks for the response. It sounds like they do not reject DD people if it is stated explicitly with that wording. Unless this school silent rejects interviewed candidates?

Based on previous years they don’t reject after an interview but they also only waitlist in May so you could be on DD until then but could also get an A!

Good to know! Is it a bad sign if others from my interview date have received DD or A, yet I have still only heard silence?

Hey I got one of these too. If we interview for the DMS does that remove us from consideration from an II for this cycle?

Random q -- is it abnormal to get an interview one cycle but not the next? I was waitlisted here last year and really loved the school and was hoping that they'd give me another chance this year. Is anyone else in a similar boat here or anywhere else?
