Kind of similar boat- I got offered an interview again this year, but was put on delayed decision again. So unclear if I will be put on waitlist again or not

This happened to me at another school, got waitlisted last year but radio silence thus far this year. I honestly couldn’t tell ya, I guess they look at you as a separate applicant each time and compare you to that year’s applicant pool

I was also curious about this and sent them an email asking. Here’s what they said:

“Thank you for your email. Because you have been selected by the Admissions Committee for consideration for the DMS, that is now the program available to you this cycle. If you decide not to be considered for the DMS, then your application will be withdrawn…”

This blows, was hoping to get in this cycle :/
 
Been a bit since I've checked in, but wondering if anyone has made an accepted students chat or group? I'm going to come up to campus for Second Look in February and wanted to see if anyone else was coming too!
 
when is the next round of decisions going to be?
 
I know you can’t share specifics about the interview day. But how should I focus my interview prep? Not really sure what to review since last MMI I prepped for I reviewed all this stuff and nothing I was asked was remotely close to what I prepped for

Review general ethical questions, I liked using the Bemo free 300 scenarios they have a good question bank that you can practice from. Other than that you just want to have a firm position and when you can throw in some pieces of your application that apply to the question as evidence for why you chose your position
 
Does anyone have a good gauge on whether these folks here appreciate individual thank yous after interviews? Or just a general message to the admissions email address? I know thank yous ultimately don't matter but I thought this interview was awesome and want to convey that regardless.

I sent one to the admissions email and they sent and nice message back!
 
Does anyone know how far along they've sent out IIs?
OOS & complete 9/5. Haven't heard anything since.

I'm not sure it's linear - there are folks elsewhere in this thread complete in September that got II already and are OOS. But in the interview today they mentioned they interview through March? So I'm guessing quite a few II are still left to go out.

How far were the interviews scheduled ahead when you received your II?
 
do we think they'll send out A/WL tomorrow? last year they sent them dec 1, so i'm assuming they'll do the friday after thanksgiving? so nervous LOL
 
Anyone else having trouble accessing the accepted students facebook page? They emailed me a link and the link just directs me to FB, doesn't actually populate the group at all

I'm a New England regional applicant, high gpa, 4th quartile casper and average MCAT. Loads of service etc. Kinda surprised I haven't heard literally anything so far. Do they go strictly in order with their applications? Give me the dirt, anyone ^_^

They do not go in order, and tend to put a lot of people on delayed decision after interviews prior to them getting acceptances.
 
I interviewed here on 10/29, and when I emailed admissions, they said my app was going in for a 'final review' this week and that we should be hearing back from them in the next few weeks.
Hope this makes someone feel better! Good luck to all of us - I hope we all get 'em A's.

Is it worth still submitting my secondary here? I wasn't going to but the deadline is today and I have started to really like the school but not sure if it's worth it anymore.

I’ve talked to admissions (from other schools) and they say they go through every single application - so i think its worth a shot!
 
Did anyone else get a weird email from LCOM about a research study on premeds and the MSAR?
Honestly I thought it was rude haha you’re gonna invite me to be in a research study before inviting me for an interview?!? 🤭

I wanted to email back and say please interview first then I'll do it, but alas, I just did it.

Yes!! Literally 599 emails or something! The IRB would totally not be cool with that. Does not follow “respect for persons” 😂

I might be wrong but I think they initially send out more DD's than A's because they want to give every applicant a fair chance of reviewing apps! So I'm sure everyone with DD's are still in the race. Good luck!
