Looking back, I don't think it would have been a good idea to out yourself right then that you KNOW Devyn is a wolf since you had the item for longer than one night and had already mentioned figuring out who captain america was and to send the shield to you (that's assuming you investigated SOV before Devyn), which I think was a good move, although I'm surprised you weren't killed that night, only reason I can think is that the wolves already knew SOV was captain america? So, to the next day mention that you investigated Devyn and she came back as a wolf would have gotten you killed for sure, but at least we would have gotten a wolf. What if you had been killed and never outted Devyn? Then you would have died and a wolf would live. I guess I'm still a little too loyal and would lay down my life to help the cause, especially if I lost the item and knew that was the biggest piece of info. I'd get. I think you should have tried harder to get us to lynch Devyn! So sorry PP 🙁, and you had a really good role.
 
Wow. Had a lot to catch up on this morning.

Sorry I voted to have an early night/short lynch and then didn't even get to pop in. 🙁 I ended up getting hijacked by a friend and being unable to refuse. And, of course, cell coverage sucks here...so no dice on checking in. 🙁 Waa. Sorry we lost you, PP. You were a brave member of SHEILD! 🙂

Definitely odd that the info from Varz on Devyn didn't actually come out, but if s/he knew s/he was NOT a wolf, and keeping the item kept it from falling into wolf hands, I can see not wanting to out yourself as still having it. Of course, as someone mentioned, you could have said you lost it already....but not everyone thinks clearly all the time. However, if you had that kind of info, I'd think next time you'd want to hang around the thread to make sure people were voting in the right direction...and if they went to lynch an innocent, to come clean about investigating Devyn.

But Varz...I think you bear close watching, especially if devyn is actually a wolf. :ninja: Wouldn't be unusual for a wolf to out another wolf to gain credibility.

You don't have to say you still have the item. 🙄 "I had the item night 2 and it said devyn was a wolf but I've lost the item now" would have been perfectly fine, especially in this case where everything is on the thread. Least IMO.
 
Oops. Just realized it's still night. 😳 I'm not normally up for another couple hours, thus the confusion. 😳

I would NOT have said that you have investigated someone every night bc it makes it seem more like a role and wolves like to kill people who have lots of info. It would be fairly stupid for the wolves to kill someone who used to have an item, unless they have no one better to kill.

I did say lynch Devyn, and gave the best reasoning I could based on what she posted in the last few days. It's tough to create a case for someone when they are not around or going out every night. I was hoping people would be all like "yeah lets do that" and go after her. But the first post after mine was about how it was the last min of voting and destroyed my argument.

As for the item thing, I had already said I knew who Cap was, along with some other stuff, so in my mind, if I had come out and said a day later "hey guys, I found a wolf" that would have been pretty close to saying I could investigate. If I hadn't came out and said I knew who cap was, I would have been in a far better place to say I had an item.

Anyway, no matter what has happened, I no longer have the sword, no-one sent me the shield (which wouldn't matter now that SOV is dead anyway), the other person I checked out wasn't a wolf. Dislike what I did / how I did it all you want, the fact remains that you now know what Devyn's character name is and if the wolves kill me, thankfully you won't be losing much in the line of a villager role.

Varz had said she knew who the shield went to the day before though, indicating that she knew who Captain America was, so if she outted Devyn that would mean she'd be admitting to having an item 2 nights in a row, which is more likely to be a role than an item and would likely get her killed. I think she could have pursuaded us to vote Devyn though without saying she had an item that told her Devyn was a wolf.
 
Varz, go back and look through old games. You'll realize that even when people were investigators, they never kept quiet when they found a wolf. Plus it sounds like it isn't your role that allows you to investigate, but an item. That's why this is weird
 
Oh one last thing incase I die and before I am out for the day. I had the tesseract, tried to use it, tried to rez Trem with it, both failed. I should be sending it off to someone along with Ironman's suit. Good luck

I am not a wolf....and I do find it quite odd Varz that you are working very hard to get a lot of villagers lynched....having an item very rarely makes you wolf bait... and if you had really thought you had found a wolf you should have said something right away not waited and let PP get lynched. Then at least you all could have lynched me and found out you were wrong... seeing as I wasn't around to defend myself... and then everyone could have realized you are full of ****e (at least from what I can tell so far from your posts).

In the past, when I have had an investigatory item or even as a seer if I found a wolf and had no one I could trust to bring forth the info I would say it in thread right away - and just say I had lost the item or make up a source. Holding back info like that makes me very suspicious of you especially since I know I am a villager. I have an odd role - I will give you that, but I am on the good side.

The only reason I posted what I did was because your argument (as it was worded) didn't make sense for devyn. Seriously, if you knew devyn was a wolf at the time you posted -- why not just say so? You don't need to "dig up more info" to lynch someone if they've been investigated!

All you had to do was say you had an investigatory item, used it on her, and lost it. People can have items for multiple nights in a row before losing them.

Or if you were that afraid of becoming wolf bait and had no faith that anyone would protect you, at the very least kept trying to sway votes in her favor instead of giving up.

Hey guys, just want to point out that Devyn may or may not be a wolf. Varz only said what Devyn's role was and that he assumed it was a wolfy role, not that it is one. Not trying to defend either party, just trying to get the facts straight and clarify things.

And Google didn't exactly help with identifying Devyn's role...it only left me more confused.

Given that Ivan Vanko was the bad guy of Iron Man 2, I'm firmly on the side of wolf.

I agree, this whole thing is weird. So, do we lynch Devyn and see if she is indeed a wolf, or Varz because he's acting weird, or someone else altogether? I have to go, will be back hopefully before the lynch vote ends, meeting up with other OSU class of 2016ers :soexcited:

Ah okay. When I googled his name, it said something about how he was a villian but then ended being a good guy? Idk...

I think that his character in the movies might have been a mishmash of a couple of comics characters? But I'm not really sure. All I know is that this game is based mostly on the movies with a little bit from the comics, so if something appears to be from the movies I'm taking those as canon over the comics.

That's the first I've heard of neutral characters in this game...so far they have all been either good or evil.
 
I'm not buying Neutral characters after the Star Wars WW where Boba Fett claimed to be neutral.

It was similar to this argument. Baiscally, "Oh, he was just a bounty hunter. Could go either way and I choose VILLAGERS! 😀" And he was a wolf the whole time.

Sorry Dev. In the Mysterious Planet game I know there were a lot of neutral characters, but I think this one's more like the Star Wars game where there is no middle ground.

Unless you can convince me otherwise: lynch devyn.

I would prefer you hold off on the lynch votes until after the write-up, just because nighttime info may influence it. I will count the ones that are already out there.

The write-up should be up any time. It's already completed, and all the PMs are out. I'm just about to start with the item PMs.
 
The citizens of New York City went to bed feeling pretty bummed. They had lost yet another member of SHIELD and the nighttime killings seemed destined to continue forever.

An unusually cold wind blew through the city making one resident shiver.

No rogue electrical activity was reported last night. All appliances and car batteries appeared to function normally.

Several ambulance sirens were heard throughout the night. Must have been a busy night for the medics of New York City. I hope the emergency rooms were prepared for an influx of patients.

The morning did bring one piece of good news. No one died. That's right, there were no deaths.

There are 20 players remaining. You have until 8pm CDT to lynch a player.
