yes, word approved is replaced by pending release of grades
New scoring is the only thing holding the results -- This is scary, this year statistics will be different, either many will pass or may will fail - these transitions are always difficult. I hope the best for all of us

I feel like making it an overall score would help more people pass, but then again they may have raised the passing score if it's overall, right? who knows!! apparently not even they do!
We might have actually broken the ABPN. I just tried to call both numbers to ask about the updated application status and every option is going to recordings or voice mail.
I'm skeptical about grades being released later today.. judging from last year's Neurology ABPN exam, grades were uploaded to folio accounts about 4-5 days after the status changed to Pending release of grades.
I'm. So. Tired. Of. Waiting.
I'm doubtful it's today too. But, I do not think the nuero people had waited as long as we are. I would hope that maybe the turn around time from pending to actual release is faster

My page lets me sign up for subspecialty exams. Above this, there is a message that reads: "Instructions: The Examinations listed below reflect the available choices you currently have based on your Certification with the ABPN and the examination schedule."
You cannot sign up for these exams unless you are a diplomate with ABPN. This means.... YOU PASSED.

Which is why I think psychorama's post makes sense......
FYI - I called abpn today - they told me late next week. I pushed the receptionist for more clarity and got nowhere.

I also have the status change to "pending" and I also see the other two active links. One link leads to the option for registration for Pain or Sleep exams. And, like everyone else, the other link for Initial Cert is still active and leads to "application is incomplete" and needs more information, etc.
One might conclude the Pain/Sleep link = Pass. However, you could as easily argue that if you fail the exam, your status would be on hold for the residency program to review, and approve you for a retake, or remediation, as they have to also approve your status; hence it would be Incomplete.

I thought the same thing! I got nervous a few weeks ago when I got a mailer for BTB and now I'm excited to get the ad for the MOC solution... This is clearly driving us insane.
Got same email as well earlier today.
Regarding earlier post, I thought there was one or two postings from page 5 or 6 where the link for pain/sleep was not available maybe I'm wrong....but this whole process has taken hours of my day daily.

I think its beyond ridiculous the way the ABPN has handled this. We brought up the issue with the ability to apply for exams requiring initial certification two weeks ago and they did nothing to correct it to avoid increased anxiety and speculation!
We paid how much $ for the honor of going through this experience. It's a computerized exam for gosh sake. Beyond frustrated....

Hey everyone, fwiw we just got our ABPN neurology board results posted tonight. The "pending release of grades" status had been static for over a week leading up to this release. Not sure if it matters but given the prior conversation here about trying to sign up for another initial cert exam, I did not have any barriers or when trying to "check" that back door route. The only interesting thing I noticed, however, was that when i tried to sign up for an initial neuro cert, the ifa link for Neuro option took me to the MOC section detailing test dates. Then again, it may be like that for everyone on my side of things. Regardless, I wish everyone here in psychiatry the best! I know it's an excruciating wait, but you should all know soon.

Thanks florida! Long time lurker and have been waiting like many on here for the results. These threads have become somewhat of a community, and i am sure others who do not post are also watching. Best of luck to you if you are also waiting!
I actually reactivated my account (as you can tell, I was thinking about going into OB/Gyn before Psychiatry) just to thank everyone for their posts and support. I'm still waiting on my results like everyone else, but interestingly, I can sign up for my Child and Adolescent Psychiatry boards as an option, along with the Pain and Sleep Medicine exams. I'm wondering if that may be a sign? I'm hoping that it is.
I'm tempted to email them a link to this forum. Maybe it will guilt them into releasing scores.
I do NOT have the option to apply for child/adolescent certification. Hoping that is not bad news for me...

I'm currently in my 2nd year of C&A fellowship and fast-tracked into it. I think that my program has already pre-certed me in the ABPN system, so maybe that's why? I made it as far as the payment screen when I tried to sign up for it, but I'm sure that it's not a reliable indication of anything. From what it sounds like, most of these hacks seem to only be speculation and we will have to wait until next week.
Based on a previous poster that took his Neuro boards, they also had the same "Pending Release of Grades" for around 5 days. I'm hoping that they will spare us the wait and release them at some point today or tonight.

I think that we're all in a similar position and are on edge about the results. It would be nice to be able to tell future employers that I'm BC instead of just waiting for the ABPN to send out the scoring reports.
