I get this line of reasoning, at the same time it's difficult to interpret wolf reasoning so voting this way essentially amounts to gambling against the house sometimes. Dubz is generally quick to move her opinions from fluid to solid village blocs and has decent track record at early to mid game wolf hunting (until she chokes in end game lol) so there's plenty of reasons for her to be on a target list at almost any point in the game, which is why trying to interpret wolf reasoning often ends up being a somewhat unproductive rabbit hole.

Important to consider too that dubz had a very good chunk of the roster in orange so it's a wide POE even with this line of reasoning. I think it's entirely reasonable there are wolves in there, but mostly because that confidence interval is so wide.

While you're not confident in them, what are your tonal reads? At the very least they may be helpful to discuss
Don’t like Mel mainly cuz they’re giving me a hard time. Suspicious of April and vis because of the way they played in early game

Oh also I don’t honk I get the violetvett bandwagon. Like it seems like they’re just afk which doesn’t strike me as wolf or village

Not a lot has changed since last night, but I wanted to put it in an ordered list instead of categories. Out of Ivy, Violet, & Fluff, I feel confident that one of them is a wolf, if not 2 or 3 of them. They’re ordered on my list because I think fluff is the wolfiest of the three and Ivy is the least wolfy out of that trio, but still wolfier than a lot of other players. Does that make sense?

Edit: I am dumb and forgot two people on my list.

The tie thing was hella wolfy to me. It came off weird and she kind of attempted to say it didn’t matter and was a joke, then said she was serious, and it ended up being all confusing and it stood out to me as a noob wolf being clumsy and trying not to trip up when it gathered more attention and scrutiny.

I don't see fluff as wolfy so I'm surprised she's that far down. I guess I'm also surprised you have anyone over Zenge.

Why are you wolfreading aprils?
she seems to be pretty hedgey, and usually her posts stand out to me more than they are right now (like they’re more memorable). She rocks the boat more often as a villager than I’m seeing right now. I also trust Dubz’s read of her, because Dubz does/did have an April reading card, but idk if that played into the NK at all (since NKA is bad). I do think April should be in the POE based more on her posts and less on the read from Dubz, but I am using that as a factor in my reads.

You’re honestly getting to the top of my wolf list because I feel like I’m laying out plenty of reasonable stuff and you keep asking me for “YOUR take” and I’m sorry I don’t think that’s as valuable as what im saying and the whole attitude feels like a way to draw attention from my line of reasoning.
I don’t think Mel’s post was unreasonable, and I don’t like that you’re wolf reading him because he pressured you.

I feel pretty good about pshelty and true. Samac is that high because of the way she approached me and questioned my absence. It seems more in line with how she approaches the game as a villager. Plus I like her reasoning and questioning of other players. Maybe I’m letting my personal bias get in the way because I like her as a person, but she feels pretty villagey wholesome right now.

Nothing has changed my opinion on fluff since my ISO the other day. Her posts since then have not given me a warm feeling. I cannot chalk it all up to just being a noob. Sure some of it could be chalked up to noobness, but I think it’s mainly wolfy with a side of noob.

I’m trying to give all of the noobs some slack, but they just seem so wolfy to me and it’s hard to figure out which ones are actually noobs and which ones are wolfy but also noobs.

I also don't know why people are still assuming things about the night kills. dubz is very unlikely to have been a village kill, but we know nothing about how genny died.

I like that logic a lot. It might be a villager. Genny was on my wolfier list as well and I was going to investigate her today. So maybe one of the villagers thought that indeed they are catching a wolf. It could also be that Ivy is a wolf, and Genny was an experienced and bold enough player. But she wasn't really onto Ivy that much, so it would be very risky for Ivy to have gone after genny just because genny yeeted her for inactivity
About the genny kill, I'm more inclined to believe it was a villager who killed her, thinking they are catching a wolf. Genny seemed wolfy to a lot of us.

I am quite literally 12 pages behind but this caught my eye. This is real weird reasoning, especially regarding a player who typically gets more benefit of the doubt than D1 feels since she is difficult to read. Although if this was a night vig kill I can hear AM in the distance shedding a proud tear at someone narrowing the POE instantly on N1 lol

this wasn't my opinion. @Animal Midwife discussed it too this morning.
Okay, so back to this post exchange - what felt off to me was the description of genny being "wolfy to a lot of us" but when I looked back I had a hard time finding posts from people aside from fluff describing genny this way. I asked about it saying it was weird reasoning and was immediately told AM felt the same way, but the above AM quote is most of what I found about her thoughts re: genny kill. So not really any concrete feelings of this being a villager kill because of genny being read as wolfy (which is something I wouldn't expect from AM anyway). I think I saw some stuff from April just mentioning that genny tends to be seen as sketchy/hard to read but this felt like a really broad misrepresentation of thread discussion and it rubbed me the wrong way

sorry just getting caught up now, but I haven't heard from violet since an initial hello exchange we had... she asked me for my reads and i shared some impressions and asked for the same and haven't heard anything... i'm assuming she's busy?
Have you heard more from violet? What are your thoughts now?
Taking note of vis at the top of this list
Thing pinged me, this was one of the first posts about this before other players started using the reads list to try to read into wolf kill reasoning and the placement early in the discussion felt weird to me and a bit atypical for April

This is how I know you're on the edge of tunneling me, seeing what you want to see and not whats actually there. Whats your current POE btw?
I mean the post read to me like you were moving sport down and AM up. Not that hard to misunderstand.

As far as the vets go I’m most interested in sporty vs you. I have a strong feeling there’s a wolf between the 2 of you.
Undecided on alley and VMH at this point.

For noobs I was very interested in octo, but if he doesn’t show up it’ll be a moot point.
I’m not going to lie, im struggling with the moving the noobs either way. True feels village. Blue’s reaction last night made me feel like it’s more likely she’s village. Puppy was my noob and she has seemed okay. Otherwise to be honest I’m not very sure and they’re in a unknown noob pool.

But do you feel better about them than black and white evidence of Zenge's vote timing?

Hmm
That's a real problem in the literature! No one wants to publish "we did this study and the results are weird and mixed."
These are some of my favorite papers to read though. "So we looked at this a lot and anyway free shrugs. The universe didn't care about this making sense as much as we did I guess"

But do you feel better about them than black and white evidence of Zenge's vote timing?
The vote timing wasn’t playing into my read of him. I thought it wasn’t serious and was NAI? Reminds me of when y’all (not necessarily you but several others) thought I was wolfy just based on how many words I put into my salt yeets in wolf vs village games. That “tell” was completely wrong so I wasn’t really putting stock in the Zenge vote placement timing theory.

I was also considering she was wolf and voted her until I changed towards the end so it’s a bit of a misrepresentation to say it was only fluff.

What I thought was interesting about April’s post was that her name was right under Vis’ in the Dubz read list so it stood out since her name was right there in orange too

I was also considering she was wolf and voted her until I changed towards the end so it’s a bit of a misrepresentation to say it was only fluff.
I should clarify that there were a few players who voted her but I feel the most vocal was fluff and a lot of the thread chatter specifically about genny being sketchy was driven by her

That being said I still have fluff neutral right now

No, it was completely serious. And I believe it's very AI.

Doubtful it will be AI after this game but the tell came too late for Zenge to fake it this game.

For a second, let’s assume I and every other veteran player that has commented, know what we’re talking about when we say that your theory is not comprehensive of all the scenarios for which the wolves may have killed Dubz. Using someone else’s reads to inform your own is not helpful because I can’t see your thought process only the other person’s. That’s why I keep asking for your reasons outside of what you see on dubz’s reads

Oh. Well that’s interesting. Regardless, I was village reading him anyways, so that just makes me feel better about him.

Getting all caught up and re-reading the first day thred. Doing so gave me some more feels about possible sketchy. I am still confused on the bandwagon that happened to me. I have gone thru and quoted a lot of posts so expect that later.

Hi I'm here! Catching up on things.
Did the PM activity die down just around the time that you posted on the thread that you think he might know more about the game than he should for a village noob?
I just received a PM from @OctopusDoctorpus so he is still playing. And no, that's not when the PM activity died down. He's fluctuated a lot in his activity so I feel like he must be busy irl. OctoDoc can you explain why you've been so inactive?

I've been trying to think who to yeet since I won't be on much tomorrow due to work but all this chatter just seems like, tbh, a group of friends deciding where to go eat... I just feel like there isn't much substantial news going on. So alas, I must come back tomorrow (tired) and analyze more. As for now,

Do you think this list has changes @puppydogtor ? Curious to see how much more info you've sifted through.
@IvyMoose my list is pretty similar/unchanged. I don't think we've heard from @WorthlessOxygen in a while so I leave them at neutral. Fluff and Stoat have been pinging me but I really don't want to be wrong. Violet is still very wolfy for me and that might be where I place my yeet today. Trying to read a lot of the vets makes my head spin lol as I'm trying to learn who everybody is and get better at reading people. But I will say just from my general catch up this morning I feel like Sporty is wolfy and Alley is villagey.

I can see where the sus came from D1 with everything that's already been pointed out. That being said, I was also a super jokey fluff-posting mistake-making noob in my first handful of village games and definitely got called out for it more than once when I started playing with the vets. I see the villagey-noob-ness from my own play in her play. To add to that, I think (this could be one of my brain fart moments though) that a noob or two has spoken up and said this isn't very different from her village play in the noob game and the vets have a bit more of a problem with her play, making it feel more like just a village noob thing that doesn't sit well with the vets.

Her more recent posts today haven't shown the same level of weirdness as D1, but there are still a few points in her logic I don't entirely follow, and it feels kind of the same way as I feel about ivy - I try to follow the posts and I just go huh? Not to the same level as ivy though.

I'm not interested in yeeting fluff right now, but I don't feel comfortable removing her from the POE just yet. Tentative read is nooby village lean.
This is the exact reasoning why I've backed off of Fluff. I'm not clearing her but she's in my neutral/keep an eye on category for sure.

This is a very interesting tinfoil, so I'm giving you credit for that. It almost seems too specific for you to not have knowledge that this role actually exists in the game? Maybe its just creativity but I was surprised you suggested this out of the blue.
Just wanted to clarify - I have no idea if this role actually exists. I was trying to think outside the box of ways there could've been two kills (I know focusing on this isn't very important) and theorize what kind of roles could be in this game as I have limited knowledge of roles due to not playing much before. I was a redirector in my only game so I just thought how they could've meshed that with a copycat ability.

Just noting this list because I find it interesting. We have similar village reads (Pshelty, Samac) and wolf reads (Sporty, Ivy, Violet). Fluff I am unsure of and OctoDoc I am actually leaning village just from our PMs.

I don’t think Mel’s post was unreasonable, and I don’t like that you’re wolf reading him because he pressured you.
I agree with this. Pressure is good to see how people respond to it. But I'll admit in my noob game if anyone pressured me I felt like "oh no is that a wolf trying to get me to say something stupid so others wolf code me?" So even though I don't like that they're wolf coding because of pressure, I'll let it slide this one time due to noobness.

Okay, so back to this post exchange - what felt off to me was the description of genny being "wolfy to a lot of us" but when I looked back I had a hard time finding posts from people aside from fluff describing genny this way. I was involved in this conversation with Fluff. I had Genny in my wolf reads as well and told Fluff that, so Fluff is not the only person who wolf coded Genny, but I don't know of anyone else who did either.

I had genny on my neutral/leaning wolf list.
This is the only post I found where you talked about genny being wolfy, and you weren't evidently talking to fluff.

When/where did this conversation occur? As mentioned above, I couldn't find it when I ISO'd you and you aren't fluff's PM buddy.

I know this is a typo but I cracked up.

Ayo, I am still here. I am still playing. Not caught up but jumping ahead to make my presence known 🙂. Something that's been jumping around in my head is that it was noted that ties are historically bad for village, yet many (11) votes remained on players with 1 or two votes total on them. Why wouldn't it be advantageous to pick among the two/three players leading in votes and switch your vote there. Especially on day 1 where information is at its lowest. Sure, you may not have a super strong feeling toward voting those on the chopping block, but it's hard to have a super strong feeling in any direction this early. Wouldn't you rather take a chance on one of the potentials that has given you the most suspicion rather than leaving the tie which could result in a no kill (free night of wolf killing) or double kill.

Still deciding where I'm leaning for today's vote.

This literally is the conversation, Fluff said this in response to me after a post I made that said genny was on my wolfy list:

So zuris posts drop him to my wolfreads
Sorry, brain not working, are you saying their posts move them more wolfy to you or that you're dropping them from your list of wolf reads?

I am still mulling over them. Their posts read a lot as just being kind of defensive and new at things, reminds me a lot of my early games where I felt kind of intimidated by veteran players and sometimes got caught on tunnels. Reading a lot of their recent posts as NAI although some of the interactions with Mel are a bit rough around the edges

Zuris was initially neutral but i’m moving him to wolfreads because his interactions with Mels bothers me and this post came out as really weird

Like i explained why i think violets is sketchy and so did few others so i don’t get this post
