I know this is rather late in the cycle but I recently received a call from Western saying they had a seat open. I have to decide within a day but I'm torn between CCOM and Western. Can anyone say anything about the quality of rotation sites of Western and any other factors between the two schools.

From what I know:

CCOM:
Pro's:
-Established presence in Chicago
-close rotation sites
-decent match list

Con's:
-Price(62+ vs 56)
-Class demographics
-Cold

COMP:
Pros:
-comparable match list
-location( I've lived in socal since I was a kid)

Cons(at least I think):
-California being anti DO
-a strong percentage of California residencies in san bernandino county

Would certainly like your thoughts especially about job prospects in California post residency.

I think Western is the better choice. It is more known in SoCal and you want to stay in California for residency. Western is also cheaper!

I am a student at Western and i am glad i made the decision to be here, and residencies span way past san bernardino county, by the time you apply California will be much more open minded, its getting there now.
