I got my stethoscope as a gift from my undergrad department. I didn't get to choose a fun color. 🙁 You guys make me jealous!

I am waiting to get mine at orientation, I guess the Littmann rep is coming to our campus and if we by ours then we get like a free name tag for our stethoscope and some other stuff I can't remember.

Apparently the vets at work are planning to buy me one (they aren't being secretive AT ALL!) so I told my coworker that Caribbean blue will match my eyes LOL!

We shall see if it makes it through the grapevine.

It's been growing on me. At first I thought it was too light and I liked the Caribbean. But now I'm torn between those two and Raspberry, which has been growing on me as well. I kind of want a blue one cause I have really blue eyes but I think the Raspberry looks nice. Ahhh, it's like trying to decide what color phone I want. Blue or White??

I think one of the vets I work with has the burgundy one. I don't really like it in person. And the Caribbean one is supposedly darker than what is shown online which makes me a little nervous, but I know a girl from my class who got it and said she really likes it still.

i'm thinking of getting the littmann cardio III in the black edition. it's all black and looks really edgy. but i am sorta partial to the raspberry color.....the cardio III is definitely the best IMHO - most of the doctors i work with have this one.

btw i love how we are all discussing stethoscope colors. 😍

And on a different note. I feel like I'm developing insomnia. I'm not...but I feel like I barely sleep at night anymore and it's really starting to piss me off. Especially because I'm getting more used to the lack of sleep. Like you would think I'd sleep through the entire night last night because I went to bed at like 12:30 AM the night before, got up at 6:30 AM for work, was there until 4 PM, and then went to the gym immediately afterwards for an hour. The workout was absolutely brutal and I probably went to bed at like 11:30. I fell asleep no problem, then woke up at 2, 4 and 6 and probably spent a good bit of the time in between just lying there. Probably fell into a deeper sleep at like 6:30 which sucked cause I had to be up at 7:30 to take my dog in for his dental cleaning by 8:30.

This is gonna sound weird, but I learned a breathing trick and when I started doing it for a few minutes when I laid down it really started to help. Breath in deep through your nose, hold it for three seconds and breath out slowly through your nose. It slows your heart and respiratory rate down and if I was stressed out and not sleeping, it seemed to help. I no longer have insomnia after learning to relax when I hit the bed. Give it a try. Can't hurt

And Rudy's doing fine so far. Still a little wobbly from everything, plus he's pigeon toed on his hind legs and has arthritis, so it's a bad combination when all drugged up. He keeps whining for attention though. Totally milking it for all it's worth. He had one incisor removed because it was apparently fractured (no idea when/how it happened), which we didn't know about cause he tries to bite you if you poke and prod him.

I have a pair!!!! I absolutely adore them. So soft and they fit my body really well (5'2 and 100 pounds) whereas all the rest just SUCK.


They are ridiculously expensive for scrubs. Sigh.

Sadly, no. I mean, I'm not super tall ... but I'm between 6' and 6'1". Scrub tops I have no trouble with - a large fits me fine. But scrub bottoms. Ugh. Nothing fits.

I'm over 6' too but I have found a few good pairs, surprisingly at walmart🙄. I have more problems with scrub shirts than pants, I've gotten a few large shirts and once I put them on it is impossible to get them back off again

Yep. I sometimes have to ask the store to order the tall pants for me, I can get by with a medium scrub top, but the pant length is where I have my issues too. I have never had a problem with the length of the tall pant bottoms.
