I think it took a leap of faith to believe your role was changed in the first place. Obviously it was, but it was difficult to believe.
I think NStarz is right though. If we had lynched Orca and her role came back indicating she could hide from investigation, we would've believed the rest of your list. But, you had to count on Orca being the one that could hide from investigation.
I agree. It wasn't like WTF was lynched by a landslide - it was only HoB and WTF who voted to lynch WTF.
WTF, had you moved your vote to anyone without an existing vote, it would have been RNG. Had you moved to Orca, it would have given you cred when she turned up wolfy in the lynch. Had you moved it to HOB ... yeah, we would have lost.
But I think lynching yourself to give credibility to your recent investigations was a gutsy and not unreasonable move.
The basic problem was that nobody seriously considered the idea that an investigation could come back false. We always looked at it as either you not being a villager, or your results being accurate. We never accounted for the possibility that you could be a villager getting inaccurate investigation results.
But that was just one turning point, and there were bunches. I made some really god-awful votes this game. I always play inadequately, because I just don't have enough time to really, really read stuff closely, go back and make notes, etc. I'm pretty much always winging it. But I did even more poorly than usual this game. For whatever reason, I had way too many people I didn't trust, and I never followed through on my gut calls - like early in the game when I wanted to lynch cuit but just let it go and forgot about it.
It was a creatively put together game, DVMD - very nicely done. Excellent job modding (and co-modding, Krist). Thank you two for a fun game!
