Passion4Sci aren't you married? Shame on you .

Nursing school has a better ratio though.

Yes, married quite happily. My wife and I have had a long-standing agreement that admiring attractive folks from the opposite sex is a good thing, not a bad one.

lol. Good man :) Never go astray. All's fair in love---I racked up couple get out of jail cards so I'm set.

I hear sexual selection roles are reversed in nursing school.

Hey, University of Tenn is also 60/40...male to female!

That's according to the PharmCAS school pages. Maybe they typed it in backwards.

I hate you guys! lol :p

I KNEW I should've went to GA TECH!

Might be at a particular school. For example, UCSF's 2008 matriculating class was 75%/25%.

2009 class it's nearly 50-50, it's like 40something to 50 something.

I gotta be honest, I don't know what ya all are excited about. If you start misbehaving with your classmates, you'll be forever doomed as a sleeze within the matter of nanoseconds. Things like this get spread around pretty fast and are a reason why I don't even want to study wth some people.

Plus no offense either, but why go pharmacy , when you can go medicine. Pharmacy guys will soon find out that all the hottest girls in their class will end up dating or going out with med or dental students. That's what happened in our class and the upper class.

The med students love to marry the pharm students. After graduation mr/ms. pharmacist can pay the bills while their spouse is in residency.

Im gonna find me a dentist with a nice grill.

Those are the girls you don't wanna be with. And why go pharmacy? Why not? The men at your pharmacy school clearly aren't macking right. :D

But you just stated on your above post that you want to marry a dentist b/c of their salary. LOL...Why don't you pick pharmacy? LOL...

I agree... I can imagine how bad it gets when two classmates hook up and then next semester one of them starts hanging around someone different, etc etc. The rumors and gossiping probably surpass what goes on in high school!

I wouldn't mind dating another pharmacist but not one of my classmates while in school...

The only issue for me is that wealthier doesn't always = better... just look at Tiger Woods... can we say skirt chaser???

lol, I was jk. I would never do that. It doesnt seem right to me to go to school with the intention of meeting someone in a particular field. Its kind of closed minded for either male or female.

why not go to beauty school...Im pretty sure thats something like 100-1 girl-guy ratio, however the male gay-straight ratio is probably something like 100,000-1 ...

Friends, I jest.

I'm not interested in:

a. old ladies
b. girls arranged to marry a first cousin.

...there aren't that many attractive health professionals anyways...lol

lmao. You win, end of story :)

Whomever started this post, quite a stir you've caused. Just had a talk with my pharm chica---said "If you ever leave me for a dentist, Im going to pull your teeth out" smiled and walked off :)

if you want the nerdiest of the nerds, the boring-est or the boring, and the ones with the least sense of humor, then there are the medical students ;).

I kind of wish women would say "I would love a researcher." We do tend to have better senses of humor since we don't deal with the stress of medical life. I just wish those yeast cells could be used for b33r!

This is truth. My resident buddy is counting the days until his partner gets his PharmD... "After more than a decade of abject poverty, I'll never have to worry about money again!..."

I know a lot of people with this type of mentality. No one likes to be a poor resident. My uncle is an oncology/hematology specialist making well over 500k+ a year. During his residency his wife was a finance major and had an MBA from NYU. She worked on walstreet and they lived in a nice condo in downtown manhattan. Lol, he was the only resident driving a range rover =P

Thats true..but you are right that if a person had to choose the best profession to marry it would be dentist. Dentist make a lot of money. More than most people will ever know...I'll just leave it at that.

Depends on your location. I am sure the people at UCLA and USC will beg to differ.

Absolutely. I take attractive professionals seriously. The only problem is I might not be focussed on what theyre saying.

I've meet a lot of attractive health professionals... and when I say attractive, I mean attractive by standards of the general population as a whole.

Davis also has an abnormally high amount of extremely fit / attractive people. Everyone bikes rides here... You can cover one end to the other in about 35 minutes on bike, and the bike paths are second to none - Best of all, cars actually respect you, since they're used to you. And cops will cite drivers that don't "share the road" :) We are probably one of the fittest cities in the nation - not that that's saying much nowadays.

 I'll definitely have to checkout California, again.

For me, that depends sometimes. I know one pretty girl at school and whenever I talk to her, I look at her directly and pay attention to her the whole time. Sometimes I'll forget few things when I just listen and think about how cute she looks in her glasses

Other times, I forget what some girls or female pharmacists are saying only if I was focusing on something about her and not what she was saying, like looking to see if she was married and had a ring

That's why I've been wearing an engagement ring look alike for the past several years.

Is it a diamond look-alike ring? There's one pretty girl in my class who seems to have a ring on her finger, but it's not a diamond ring, so that makes me think she might not be engaged, but I'm not sure and it bothers me sometimes

Sort of, it's my mom's ring that I've been wearing for luck for a while. I didn't know it looked like engagement ring untill a bunch of my guy friends pointed out how it does.

I like how it steers away unnecesery attention. Maybe your girlie is doing the same thing.

She isn't steering away any of my attention  Sometimes I wonder if she thinks I'm in love with her from the way I look at her.

Don't worry chicks don't think that way.:rofl:

Well, there was one time when I talked this one girl's friend, and she was like "I think, that you think she's pretty" and I said "Is it from the way I look at her?" and she said "yeah."

So I thought maybe one of that girlie's friends thought something about it, and might have told her something about it.

Maybe she's already married and skipped the whole diamond ring thing. I'm married and all I wear is a wedding band because by the time I got engaged, our finances were already combined and it would have been like spending my own money on some piece of jewelry that I didn't even want. I think the whole diamond market is a scam and I'd much rather spend the money on other things.
