Anyone know the chances of getting accepted off of the top 1/3 of the EVMS wait-list as an in-stater? LOL I know that's a super-specific question. I've heard vaguely that chances are "good," but also that the out-of-state wait-list is the one that logically moves the most. I was wondering if any of you, either students at EVMS or people who ultimately did get accepted off of wait-list, could comment on your experiences with this. Thanks!

Toss a coin. I was in the top 3rd last year, received an invite and attended their preview weekend and did not get in. Good luck though, to both of us, I'm in the same spot again this year.

*sigh* good luck! i have a friend in a similar situation w/ them as a re-applicant, but he's further down the list.

bmeeks if you're reading this... good luck buddy!! its chris

for OOS students the waitlist is a positive sign.... but for IS, I would say toss of a coin... no one can even remotely predict your chances, being an IS... thats why it really is based on luck.... i would for safety apply to other med schools, and start getting ready to re-apply if you wish to do so.... and hey, if you get in, congrats hats off to you, and just forget about ever again applying to med school 😀.... but this is no sure thing, so mentally prepare yourself for another school or another application cycle... but make sure you improve your application before applying... simply applying again with the same application is not beneficial... it may even be detrimental... so consider getting involved in research.... maybe even at the medical school
