Last year it seemed like there was only one big wave of acceptances from the waitlist also the first weekend in May. 😔

I interviewed in March and I’m in the top tier waitlist.

If it helps anyone, I sent a letter of interest shortly after being WL in March, as well as another update letter about one month after towards the end of April. It’s just the beginning for WL movement, wishing you all the best, hopefully more waves to come!

i think the 115 cause if Facebook group wasn't updated for the past week
Who can say though? Maybe those numbers are both inflated. For example Say you were accepted at 3 schools. you joined the GroupMe or accepted students FB groups to help you decide between them. After picking one school you drop the other 2 As.

What would you be doing now? Celebrating

Removing myself from a group chat or FB group would be the furthest thing from my mind

I’m sure at least some of those 115 won’t actually attend

Positivity through rational doubt

Here's the other thing that crossed my mind. When I called the admin office to ask how much time applicants accepted off the WL would have to commit (after April 30) they said, "3 days."

So this means that every 3 days, they could send out another small batch of A's knowing that some of the ones they just did are not going to matriculate.

I got IS top tier, and I am thinking of sending a letter of interest. I've already sent one, and I do not have updates, honestly. I don't want to come off as annoying or repeating myself,f but I want my name out there again. Any advice?

I think reaching out again is never a bad idea, but it might be useful to get involved in other opportunities/activities if you can. Continuous growth is what I think admissions committees like to see.
