Future WW Games

Underwear should be running on Saturday (Sat will be first lynch close according to @CoffeeQuestionMark ), so idk if ya'll want to do a speed game then too.
Speed game only takes a couple hours. Especially since it’d be only day 1 in your guys game I wouldn’t think it’d be too much of a problem for players

Yes! I can do two at once!

Sounds good! Just wanted to make sure people were aware of it as there was some stress for people playing both the noob game and Dogs a couple months ago.

Those were also full games and brand new noobs trying to playing their first and second games at the same time. 😉

True, but speed games can have their own kind of stress for some and can be pretty time-consuming while they're happening. Unless you manage to knock out everyone who is suspicious of you early (@WildZoo , @Animal Midwife ) and sit back, allow the paranoia to consume the village, let the last 2 remaining villagers vote to lynch each other at Lylo, and let the game end in a tie without casting a vote yourself.

Speed games are definitely a lot more stressful than regular games but also apparently sadly don't count as full games for recording purposes 🙁

I don't count my one game for my overall records. It just gets a special little asterisk in my book since @MixedAnimals77 encouraged me to go for the total victory. I'm sure @Crayola227 and @capri1722 remember how that one turned out 😉.

I'm counting them to inflate my winrate!
You track your win rate????
I sense a new project for @Lawper now that he’s figured out the WW generation classification system.

how do you define a win? is it surviving to end game and having your team win?

was wondering if dying but your team wins counts but i'm guessing not.

I'm still waiting for AM to finish my spreadsheet for me...then we can see how terrible of a player I really am!

You still win as long as your team wins. Endgame survival is another metric entirely.

So wait:

Win rate = number of games the team you're part of won / number of games you played

End-game survival rate = number of games you survived in end game / number of games you played
Absolutely correct

I actually take endgame survival as a bit of an insult as a villager. To me it means that either I'm both super sketchy and doing terrible as a wolf-hunter or that someone has pocketed me/is successfully screwing with me to get a wolf victory. Obviously relatively new, but most of the time when someone makes it to endgame as a villager it's because the wolves actually want the person around at endgame or it's just convenient not to kill that person for some reason. Only exception I can think of off the top of my head was @genny in Family Tree. I wanted her dead a lot earlier, but was paranoid that her ability would somehow come back to bite wolves and I think Pippy didn't want to kill her either, but idr why.

Making it to endgame as a wolf or chaos is completely different though, and I consider those like a double victory for the non-villagers who survive to endgame and win.

I like to think sometimes wolves keep me around just because I'm fun to play with 😀

Because Pippy knows better than you that I'm terrible at endgame, lol.

Interesting. I feel largely complimented (especially if I was already on a successful wolf lynch) by being in f-whatever. It means the wolves are willing to take me head on when I usually feel most comfortable/confident in endgame. They're really testing their skills here and I love a good challenge. It tests me too because man do I hate reevaluating.

Of course, endgame as a wolf gives me a stroke and I can't explain my feelings on that properly.

I seem to remember you acting less than flattered when I kept you alive in that one game (two games? three games? maybe I keep you alive more than I thought lol)

Well, that was just because the wagonomics/posting more closely resembled a slow D2 than lylo. I can't really work calmly with that, particularly if more than one wolf is still alive. Appears to be a strong trend away from that recently though, so I'm less concerned about it now and can appreciate endgame again.

I think in that particular game, we were afraid attacking you would sap our kill ability 😉

Plus, lulz. Always gotta keep a couple people around for end game lulz

Ahh, yea. That was it. @genny , we didn't know your ability and thought you might be a black hole. We were afraid you were gong to absorb our NK and be able to confirm one of us as wolf.

Which is why I always kill you early. Because there's no room for fun in WW. WW is serius bizness.
Nah you kill me because you're too scared to face me in endgame 😉

Meats, you running this shiz tomorrow or what?

@vetmedhead
Oh whoops, I think I misread someone pointing out the underwear game would start that day as a lack of interest

I have a roommate night scheduled with my roommates tomorrow, so could probably only do an afternoon-ish MST game. I have a small idea for sudden death bullet rounds which would be easier for people to join or step out of periodically without affecting play which may be easier to experiment with tomorrow if you'd still like to give it the old college try tomorrow
