Has anyone heard back from Touro (Nevada) campus or Chatham University who is on the wailist?
Your stats look pretty solid to me, especially that GRE! Your extracurriculars look good too. I think that if you decide to add in that MCAT score, be prepared to answer questions from interviewers regarding why you took it and why you decided to pursue PT instead. Have something good ready because they don't want to see that you chose PT as a "backup" or anything like that. I think if you explain yourself well and have a good reason then it could give you a one up, but at the same time, the MCAT score on there could be questioned by the people initially reviewing your application before you even get to explain yourself. So, I think it would be a good idea to play through each scenario and decide which risk is worth taking. Hope that helps you at all. Good luck applying!! I think you'll do great!!Hi all! I just finished up my senior year, and I’m planning to apply early decision to University of Maryland - Baltimore this upcoming cycle. I wanted to share my stats before the application opens in July for any feedback or tips.

Applying: University of Maryland - Baltimore (early decision)
I took the MCAT to see how I would do, and I ended up with a pretty good score (top 20%). However, I decided that being a physician was not the right career path for me. I wonder if including it under standardized test scores would help my application at all, at least to make up for my relatively low GPA. My gut feeling is that it would harm my application even though it is a competitive score.
A lot of my pre-PT friends had our professors read their essays. Personally I don't know of any websites, but my mom read all mine and then helped me make changes. It helps to answer the questions (no matter how bizzare sounding) honestly and truthfully.Hello all,
I am applying my second time this upcoming cycle and was wondering if anyone knows a good place I can reach out to to have my essays reviewed. Does anyone know of any sites online or anywhere else that offers this kind of help?
I'm actually embarrassed to share this since they are so low, but I'll do it to give others hope and show that they can get in with sub 3.0 GPAs

LOR: (2) PT's, (1) Director of my schools Biology program
Applied: University of St. Augustine, Emory&Henry College, Kean University, Daemon College,
Accepted: U of St. Augustine (2/13)
Rejected: Emory&Henry
Still waiting on the other two
I was talking to the admissions coordinator to follow up on my acceptance at USA, and they said that I was very strong with my interview (very personable, outgoing, strong responses to questions)
Honestly if you think you'll have trouble with your interview, look up "A New Exercise: How to Succeed at the Interview for a DPT Program".
I swear by this book. It helped me tremendously in formulating my answers to common questions, as well as picking up on certain mannerisms, etc.
On another note, even though my grades weren't the best, I feel that if you really devote yourself to the field, you're bound to find success somewhere.
Good luck to all future DPT students
-Michael

We have pretty similar stats + you went to UT. My best friend literally just started her first week at USF's PT school. She had a 4.0 GPA but lowish GRE scores (around 143/145 I think). She was a pretty competitive swimmer though and had fairly strong letters of rec and essays.Undergrad: University of Tampa

I personally wouldn't. The other parts of your application are very strong and your GRE is above average. You're also applying to alot of schools so you could use the money you plan on using to retake the GRE and use it towards application fees.Just wanted to get an idea of my chances! Also contemplating on retaking the GRE for a better quant score, should I?

I did my graduate studies at UARK. Your stats look great considering you were able to pass some though courses and professors (Dr. Washington or Greene, Gray) with honors. You definitely stand out with extracurriculars, variety of settings, and research experience. I have met students who went to UAMS and UCA and you should be accepted to those schools base of your stats. How is your essay?Just wanted to get an idea of my chances! I definitely have gotten lucky to work with some great professors. I think my essay is pretty strong, but just hoping that it stands out enough in the large crowd.I did my graduate studies at UARK. I depends on where you apply to. Prerequisite GPA is good enough to get in most schools. Where are you appling to?Undergrad: University of Michigan Ann Arbor
Major: Neuroscience
Overall GPA: 3.625 (not including freshman year where I went to another large university and got a 3.83 overall GPA, but this university doesn't include that in their calculation, so probably closer to 3.7 if you include that).
Pre-Req GPA: Between 3.4-3.6
GRE: 153V, 155Q, 4.5 AW
Hours: 62 outpatient, 54 inpatient, 16 acute care. About 132 total. Plus 50 volunteering in peds and adult clinic. So 185 total. Planning on finding a rehab tech position once I graduate in December.

Member of pre PT club, outreach chair and volunteer for another club, lots of community service on campus all related to promoting wellness and healthy lifestyles.
LOR: 1 from PT that i shadowed for 48 hours, 1 from prof whose class I took and worked in his lab for over a year, 1 from volunteer supervisor who I've known for almost 5 years since I started volunteering at the senior living center.
Worried mostly about my Pre-Req GPA.

Looks like getting an 89.8 in physics I and a 89.6 in physics II (both 3.0's) is going to haunt me. On to the next ones.
I appreciate that. My guess is that since UTHSCSA is a superb school with a crazy low out of state tuition (~75k for three years) and solid COL they have a ton of quality applications coming in. Plus, since they're a public school, they prioritize Texas residents. On their PTCAS page, 95% of their 44 person class is from Texas.TF!...looking at your stats IDK why they didnt take you. I dont know what schools are looking for.
I need some advice and guidance. If anyone with wisdom can give a perspective, that would be helpful. Thank you !

I havent finished my undergrad yet, I am a senior and I will graduate at the end of Spring 2020. I think my EC is lacking (although it is important to keep in mind I take care of my 2 year old daughter full time and she is significantly disabled), and my volunteer/observation hours are low for some programs. Should I even bother applying to schools this cycle or wait until after I have graduated in spring 2020?
