Has Anyone heard from Auburn???

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi there, I'm from KY as well and haven't heard anything other than that my file was complete. I'm pretty sure they don't do the contract interviews til mid March though, so I'm trying to remain calm:xf::xf::xf:

I go to school at Auburn for undergrad and have heard that people have been denied already...but no interview invitations have gone out yet

So in this case, no news really is good news?

That's encouraging, I guess... I'm wayyy out of state, so is OOS different from contract/IS?

All Alabama residents get an interview...so yes its very different. I'm OOS too so I guess we will just have to be patient and hope we don't get rejected haha

OOS is different from Contract/IS. Kentucky residents have around 35 seats contracted with Auburn and I believe WV has around 5 seats contracted with Auburn. Contract students pay IS tuition (unless in some situations where a someone from a contract state is actually accepted as OOS instead of being accepted for one of the contracted seats, and therefore have to pay OOS tuition). Hope that helps. 🙂

LOL yeah, I meant different regarding interview/rejection letter dates though, and if no news really was good news

lol i thought you would know the difference since you aren't a new member on the forum with lots of new questions 🙂 well hopefully that info will help someone else! what i've heard from the vets i work for is that IS and Contracted applicants who interview, are notified and interview around february/march. Not sure if that's still the same or when OOS are notified/interviewed. 😀

Do any of you know exactly how many seats we have this year? I heard they were planning on forty, but that it got bumped down with budget cuts and all.

Well, I'll cross my fingers for 40 then :xf:
My doe's due mid March (actually, right about the time Auburn generally has interviews!), and I'm super excited 😀 She aborted her kids at 4 months last year, so these will be the first babies in ages. There really is nothing cuter than a nubian kid 😍😍
