yes probably the main one, i didn't apply to the main one, if it was midtown I would have also gotten the rejection letter

Nothing but rejections this whole week...:/....I think its time I participate in sending those LOI's, hopefully its not too late.

According to Frieda UMMS Baystate has a step 1 average of 210-225.

lol this one is kinda disheartening.

I think that is because of the AMG’s who have lower scores

Rejection from Baystate

Thought I’d have a shot there!

really? shared an office with a nephrology fellow and she did IM at Baystate (though it was Tufts affiliate then) and she said they were mostly FMG and DO...guess there must have been changes with the UMASS affiliation (though UMASS itself is mostly F/IMG as well).

I just thought that could be the reason for low average score. I don’t think FMGs with those scores can get into UMMS

on the UMMS Baystate website it says 2018 class had average step 1 233 and ck 238...freida is wrong often

Anyone have any opinions on Brandon Regional Hospital and Broward Health Medical Center (both in Florida). Got interviews from there last week but I'm trying to find some info on how reputable these program are.

As a FL resident, I guess it depends on your definition of "reputable." Both are fairly new (2015) community programs and it looks like the only fellowship available at either is cards at Broward (according to Freida). New + community + lack of research or in house fellowships usually weaken a program's rep. Fellowship elsewhere is tough to pull off but I'd imagine they'd give decent clinical training for a potential internist/hospitalist career, maybe at the expense of research as can happen at HCA programs. I guess it comes down to how competitive you are as an applicant. They're not on the top of most people's lists, but I don't think either is so bad that it's worth going unmatched. Depending on your other invites, I'd go in with an open mind and keep in mind that at least it's still FL and not Arkansas or North Dakota lol

I sent about 6-7 LOI this week and no replies yet 🙁 This is so discouraging considering I am sending them to the same state I currently live in...ugh!

Is it still "early season" ..I mean it's almost the end of the month .. This waiting game is really getting to me !

p.s. need to vent... seriously

I have sent 200 and got 2 invites and waiting list. I think you need to do a lot more.

My state ignores me too haha

Dont you have 7 IVs already? Stay positive, just keep sending out emails.
