ALSO, I was going to wait for @Fireman's reply before I said this, but I'm busy tonight, so I'd like to put this out there.

Fireman says he is "basically the same as me." However, my role description says "you are the neutral party, the only neutral player in this game."

yeah, that's what a neutral role does. However, I am always suspicious of that since the win condition may be something you haven't shared. Especially w/ STL involved

I get that, but I am telling the truth! The win condition is word for word in my role as:
"To win the game, you must be alive at the end of the game with a villager or wolf win."

I'm not sure how since I wouldn't prevent a win to either side.... It makes sense for villagers to keep me... My ability wouldn't help wolves anyway since they can already talk to each other... it's enhancing villager communication, and I think that that will be helpful later on especially. Seriously, anyone who wants to tell me someone they would like to be able to talk to that they can't with the current constraints, and I'll help you out tonight.

Especially since it sounded like his ability is completely different from mine, so that wouldn't be the similarly.

Lol you people. I meant that I'm not a wolf and I'm not important except for my small role, which I explained. I didn't mean NOR did I say I was neutral. My role was written in bold black text. Which to me typically indicates villager.
 
In all seriousness, in a game with multiple factions and gangs and what not, that role sounds like it could be easily made up.

This is probably like the last cops vs criminals game, in which all of the criminals were working together even though they belonged to separate factions (I think, I never finished reading that one).
 
And I have no "win condition" that was given in my role.

Not really... why would I claim a role that is HIGHLY LIKELY to already exist in a game like this? Not only that, but I'm telling you I'm the only one. Would be pretty easy to get caught if I were making this up.

I can prove my role tonight if you spare me.

I know, but you voiced suspicion against me, so I defended it.

I don't get this distrust of neutral... especially on the second day... I already told you guys that I just want to help. Lynch me later when a win condition would actually mean something. Day 2, I'm not even trying to win, I'm just trying to be able to stay in the game!
 
Also worth noting that we're not really lynching her, we're "putting out a hit" for her, and then the gangs decide whether she'll be killed. I'm personally a bit curious to see what sort of information we receive from the evening write-up, and think a claimed neutral is as good of a guinea pig for that as any. :shrug:
 
Fwiw my role in the last STL game I played (can't remember the theme but it was last Xmas), was neutral and I would win with either the villagers or wolves. I couldn't die mind you, so they didn't have a choice. Haha

Id toy around with keeping a neutral if they made anything beyond the most tepid of defenses for themselves. Gentlemen and women... this is a tepid defense.
 
While I agree that communication is important, Hayley seemingly isn't the only person who can start lines of communication. Last night a few of us were put into a "druggie night 1" conversation and were basically told "feel free to discuss whatever here". I don't really know how I got put in that conversation, and the people included were random. No one stepped up to admit they were responsible :shrug: It's not one on one conversing but it was something.

I remember that role, only because I designed it 😀 you were the warden in oitnb 2. You could die though, but only by lynch. If I'm remembering correctly.

lynch Aloha just because I feel bad jumping on a giant lynch. I am not a fan of neutral characters because it seems like they always kinda pick a side anyway.

Gwen was a low-ranking gangster. She was wolf-jailed last night, and revealed as a villager in the write-up. What else do you want to find out from the gangs?
 
The city is at war. Good and bad is black and white. Lines were just beginning to be drawn dividing the city and those who sought to control the biggest piece were growing ever more brazen.


A riot erupted in the heart of the city as everyone from all walks of life began taunting each other and calling for blood, seemingly for no other reason than deep seeded hatred for anyone that had a different look, thought, clothes, or even speaking in an unfamiliar manner.


As the hatred spewed forth, one person began to garner more attention, especially when they refused to take sides and claimed that they were the hope for bringing people together to solve their differences.


“We don’t have a need for talking!! Our guns will say everything that needs said!” “Our fists do our talking!” On and on went the bragging of what options for violence were best suited to solving disputes, all the while @heyyimhayley took the opportunity to quietly slip away. She knew this was not the day to attempt any kind of reasoning.


The crowd soon noticed that their call for bloodshed was ruined with the loss of their goat, and so the cry went up, “A HIT! A HIT on Hayley is put forth!!”


No one knew who called it out, but the notice piqued the interest of four groups of people in particular. Most of the people left quickly as they didn’t want to risk their blood to be spilled in the place of Hayley.

My internet has been messing up all morning, as a forewarning it may take me a little while to get this all done
 
This evening began with a gang realizing that the right thing to do with this hit out on Hayley, who is deciding not to side with them and to “stay neutral,” was to take the job and end her. They let the runners know to be on the lookout for her. They knew she would stay on the move.

It didn’t take them long to hear from one of their runners, only 2, maybe 3 hours. They immediately organized a squadron of several people to take her down. She was in an old, abandoned building in the south side of town. As they approached the building, they saw a small flame in the third floor window, and they quickly located all exits (there were 4), and sent the rest of the men inside after her.

When they arrived on the third floor, they saw a make shift bed in place, with what looked like a human figure sleeping soundly in it. The two men chuckled quietly, and approached the bed, tiptoeing.

The first man cocked the gun at the pillow, and slowly stated to pull the covers back. The second man, looked up, and caught a glimmer of light. “Wait is that…. STOP!”

The second man tackled the other to the floor, just in time for the blade that dropped down from the ceiling to narrowly miss his head, and lodge into his shoulder instead.

The man screamed out in agony, while the other was trying to figure out what to do. He started holding pressure down on his shoulder. Hayley, watching from the background, couldn’t help but to think how perfect this plan had went. She snuck up behind the man holding the pressure, and whipped him in the back of the head with his revolver, leaving him unconscious.

Quickly, she immediately moves down to the person with the knife in the shoulder, taking the revolver from his back pocket. “Wouldn’t want you trying to shoot me while I make my getaway, now would I?” She looks at the man, feeling almost sorry for him. “I am sorry about all this, really wouldn’t mean you any harm unless you meant harm to me. Which you do. Which is why I don’t feel as bad about doing this.” She ripped the knife out of his arm. “See, now your gang has a choice. They can let you bleed out, or they can try and fulfill a silly hit on me, which won’t do them any good. I really do hope they chose the former. At least for your sake.”

With that, she sneaks up to the fourth floor, while she hears several men running up the stairs to the third floor. “Heh, they must have brought more people than I thought. No matter.”

Hayley makes it to the fourth floor, and then opens the door to the rooftop of the building. As she walks outside, she is tackled head first into the door. She whips around to see a person she is not familiar with stabbing downwards, missing her by inches. She kicks the person in the face, making blood spurt out of his nose.

“Well you are new. Are you even a part of a gang?” She said teasingly, clearly knowing the answer.

“You will pay for that.” The man whips out a gun, which unfortunately for him, was exactly what she was expecting him to do. As he raises the gun towards her, she does a sweep kick, making the bullet ricochet completely off target, and also causing him to drop the gun.

Hayley lands a side kick right to his gut, making the man keel over. “Maybe there is a reason you really aren’t known at all. Who would want a wimp leading them?” She pulls out the gun leaving a bullet wound in his calf. “Don’t worry, it’s only a flesh wound. But it will ensure me that you won’t follow me as I do this.”

She sprints at full speed towards the edge of the rooftop. The man, bleeding on the floor, sees her make the over 10 foot jump with ease. Within seconds, she had disappeared through a door in the other building.

We arrive next at the press conference the next morning, regarding events from earlier that evening.

“Chief, is it true that you were able to arrest a high profile member of the principal gang in this city.”

“It is in fact true” the chief said glowing. “But don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t easy. It wasn’t for my un…. I mean if it wasn’t for the hardwork of 1 police officer, we never would have been able to compile enough evidence to catch the guy.”

A news correspondent from WWN 12 raises their hand. “Can you detail how you were able to catch him last night?”

“Well that was actually the simple part. You see, he is a matador performer in his spare time, you know, when he is not being a miserable criminal.” The chief laughed, and a couple of the reporters appeased him by laughing as well. “So, we knew he would be doing a show today. So, we placed cops in street clothing throughout the show ring. After he had killed the bull, he was right in the center of the ring. So, all of my police officers drew their weapons. He had nowhere to run, and surrendered within seconds.”

“Do you know what his role within the gang was?”

“We know now that he was a very high ranking member in this game, with our best guess being the 3rd in command. With regards to his function, it is very similar to his profession. He was their professional hitman so to speak. We should have enough evidence to tie him to several unsolved murders. I am sorry, but unfortunately I am going to have to go at this point. Busy day ahead of me. Many more arrests to make!

A different gang received logs of a wire tap this past evening, but also promptly threw it in the garbage because “It literally has nothing important.”

“Hello. Nice avatar.”

“Why thank you.”

“Oh you’re very welcome.”

“Anything in particular you want to discuss? I have not much for info right now.”

“Eh. Nothing in particular.”
