Ok called...last interviews will be held feb 6th and 7th. Also, the latest everyone should hear about interview notifications and rejections would be 2 weeks

I guess there is a little bit of hope there?😳

So if you have been invited to interview you might not hear for another 2 weeks? that puts you super close to the actual interview date. I thought we were supposed to get 3-4 weeks notice.
 
I think ISU needed transcripts postmarked by Feb 1st. I know my school needs at least a week to send them out....
How would that work if I don't hear back for another 2 weeks?:scared:

I went ahead and sent them my transcript figuring that I haven't been rejected so it's not a waste of my money. I would encourage you to do that as well that way there's no worry as to whether it will get there in time

Yah I sent my transcripts out before I heard of my interview as well.
 
For anyone who was invited to an interview on the 30th of January, and has responded. Have you heard anything back from them as to what time your interview is? I wrote back on Saturday and I haven't heard anything yet. Just hoping that they got my e-mail

Crossing my fingers for an interview invite today otherwise I am calling them to try and get a status check. :xf:

0Went to my public speaking class last night and it was painful, definitely going to drop it if I can get some feedback from Iowa state today.

I definitely don't want to make you nervous, but I interviewed on January 9th and didn't get an itinerary until January 4th! According to Brenda, itineraries are usually sent well before the RSVP deadline (if you respond early). She said mine was supposed to be emailed December 22. I met at least 6 people at my interview that had the same problem. So if you haven't gotten your itinerary, and the deadline for RSVPing has passed, I would email Brenda and call ISU. Not knowing what day I was interviewing (and the delay in buying plane tickets) made my travel arrangements very expensive and stressed me out. Hopefully this helps prevent it from happening again. Good luck. I'm still waiting too.

I definitely prefer Minnesota's policy of notifying everyone on one day rather than Iowa's strategy of stretching it out over several months. While it's probably cool if you get an invite right away, it is so annoying when you're stuck in limbo...

Called Iowa and had a similar experience as everyone else.

She could not tell me anything except the review process is on going and will not be completed until the end of next week.

Anyone who has not heard is still 'under review.'

Sigh, looks like I will have to go to at least one more public speaking class.🙄

so I know a Feb 6-7th interview invitation just came out, but when i called yesterday they said they still had slots on Jan 30th. soooo theres still three days available, dont freak out!

Heres hoping we all get one!

Does anyone who has interviewed have any wonderful advice to offer? I think im almost more nervous about the behavioral style interview..too much thinking on your feet + being nervous= BAD scene

Sorry to be making anybody freak out! I had just about given up on Iowa State until I opened my email a few minutes ago. I hope all of you hear in the next few hours and we can all meet and celebrate together in Ames in a few weeks!
 
Can any of you who already interviewed at ISU give us a sample itinerary? I'm trying to work through a little bit of a debacle and I'm wondering how long the day at Iowa lasts.
 
Well this was mine:
12:15 pm Arrival, check in, pictures
12:45 pm Welcome
1:00 pm Exhibit Hall (2226 Vet Med)/Other Activities
2:00 pm Interview in Room X (edited as you can find out who I am with the real room number 😀)
3:00 pm Tour of the College


Exhibit Hall Activities (2226 Vet Med)
Instructional Technology/Demonstration of Tablet PC
Concurrent Degree Program Representatives and Research poster presentations
Lab Coat Sizing

Other Activities
Alumni Room: Visit with Veterinary students, faculty and staff (Refreshments available)
Room 2532: Student Panel 9am, 10am, 2pm and 3pm
Room 2532: Financial Aid Question & Answer Session; 11:00am and 1:00pm

Nothing was really cemented though. It's just a guideline. I'm sure if you wanted to go on a 1:00 tour and yours is scheduled for 3:00, they'd still let you go.

At this point I would rather hear anything (negative or positive) then remain in limbo.
 
Thanks, HopefulAg. It looks like I could take a 6 or 7pm flight out if I wanted to do 2 consecutive red-eyes. Not an attractive option, but nice to know I could if necessary.
 
I just called the office and was told that they only sent out a few invites today. She said that this is in no way the last "batch" of interviews that is going out for Iowa State.

Trying to stay positive!!

Whoo-hoo! I got an Iowa invite after all but giving up hope! Don't give up, any of you!
 
I got my itinerary today... 8am interview! First of the day! GAH😱 Wish me luck.

And for those of you who have not gotten an invite just yet. Don't give up hope! There is still time. They didn't send me an invite until 22 days before the interview so you still have a few days left! Good luck!

I got my interview invite today as well!! Feb 6/7, still waiting to hear what day and time exactly. I would love to meet some of you while visiting!!

i wanted to apply to iowa state SO BAD!!! congrats parietal and everyone else getting interview invitations! i'm beyond jealous 😉
