Obviously I have too much time on my hands (thanks, Sandy!) and I'm entirely too wound up about this application cycle, but... last year KSU sent their first round of interview invitations on 10/31. That's tomorrow. I'm sure they won't send any tomorrow just because I want to hear from them, but either way we're getting close! 🙂:scared::xf:

I remember the first round of interview invites went out last year on 10/31 - I saw this thread bumped and I thought it was happening again! My poor nerves hate this process!

YIPPEE!!! Got the e-mail today, too! Do they interview all IS applicants with complete applications or ...? Either way, I'm excited.
 
That's when mine is - so I guess that means they run some interviews concurrently. And that perhaps we'll meet while we're waiting.
 
Does anyone know when we will find out if we were denied or accepted?? I am a North Dakota resident and I received an e-mail a few weeks ago stating that interviews would be announced in January....but that was all..did not say anything about whether I was granted one or denied one.

Any info is appreciated 😀

The email I got from KSU said interview invites would be sent in November & early December.

The email I got from Minnesota said they'd be in touch in January...

While you wait, you sit in a big room where you can mingle with other applicants. I think 5 or so people have interviews in the same time slots (with different interviewers), but there were usually at least 20 of us in the room waiting at any given time. 👍

uuummmmm I think I was invited December 22nd as well. I think I got the last invitation that entire year :laugh:. I have a feeling it might have been an "Ok someone declined their interview, do you want it?" kind of thing. 🙄

That's what I figured when I realized they do all of the IS interviews in the space of two days! Haha, so they don't shove you in a room by yourself to panic... just in a room with a bunch of other nervous people.

Yes. With cookies and coffee and current students to help calm you down and answer questions. 😀
Last year they had a pizza party the night before and the day of your interview they have tours intertwined with interviews so you can tour before or after based on your interview time.
 
I'm pretty sure that this past cycle I interviewed in one of the last waves... I think it was the third weekend in January. I also think I found out about the interview around Thanksgiving. :xf: Fingers crossed for round 2.
 
AHH FIRST INTERVIEW INVITE!!! December 16th! SO EXCITED! 😀I definitely cried a little bit...

OK now I am nervous. I haven't received any emails from Minnesota and only one from Kansas stating they received my application... when did you get these emails?

Minnesota 10/3. Kansas confirmed they had my whole application 10/18.

I am horrible at sdn... Can anyone post me a link to the ksu interview feedback from last year, if there is one? I tried looking by school as well as in general, but could only find things from 2006. I am just trying to find some more recent years... Sorry, I am horrible at this :scared:

Its not in the forum. If you go to the Articles and Interviews Header at the top, there should be one for vet school and KSU. There will be a pie graph that says something about interview feedback, and you can click "survey results" or something like that. Link when I get home.

So I am just trying to make a list of potential interview dates and acceptance timeline. I have looked through the K-state website, but cannot find any info on when interviews are and when they generally send out acceptance/rejection letters. Does anyone know?

They're already started sending out the first wave of interview invites for IS and OOS. Interviews are typically weekends in late December- January. They send out acceptances/rejections/wait-list status info I believe late Feb-March. They send out emails for interviews and paper copies for the decision stuff.
