Interviewed 10/31, got the acceptance letter in the mail yesterday!!!😀
They don't want us in there because we'll talk and make it loud. On the upper levels there are no doors separating the atrium from the rest of the building and sound travels
Did u try calling them to see if they can tell you via phone?
OMFG I just checked the portal and it says the committee has made a decision on my application!!!?!?!?!!!!!$%!#%^ Can I call them to see if they'll tell me over the phone? I don't wanna wait ten days for snail mail from erie to NY
GAH if they can post "a decision has been made on your application" why cant they just post the actual decision!?!?!?!?!
when did u interview?

Relax, the decision has been made and you will find out shortly. I wouldn't call. I know you want to know but don't you think the adcom has other things to do besides answering the phone to let people know if they have been accepted. Over 5K people apply (DO & Pharm. combined) a year. Please give them a little slack.Hey I interviewed on the 7th, (last Friday). I got the same notification on my portal as well, that a decision has been made. I called and Amy was again not available. TEN DAYS!!! Can't they at least email a decision to us?!! If you call again and get a decision please post what happens. I'd like to know when Amy is available.

Don't remember what it was like last year but to put it in perspective we started with about 270 in our class and over 3500 applied last year... Figure that out.anyone know the number of interviews to acceptances at LECOM?
Gotta remember the holidays are comming up. Probably all booked up for Nov. and December probably only interviewing the 1st two weeks.Wow guys, I was just invited to interview this morning and my assigned date was 1/26. Is this really the soonest they could schedule me, or is there a chance I can call to reschedule (possibly sooner)?
Well according to the calendar students are done on Tuesday. Don't know about staff. I would think they would be off too.Slevin, what days does LECOM have off for Thanksgiving? I interview Monday November 24th and I was wondering if they would meet on Wednesday the 26th to review my and others applications. Or else would they wait until the following Wednesday? I hope they meet on the 26th. The only downside is that because of the holiday I have to wait a little longer to get the decision in the mail
Haha that would be really funny. Except that I live in Arkansas so I would have to stay some extra days or make another trip to be able to do that. Also, my step dad works for the post office so he probably wouldn't be too happy about it. Oh well, I can wait an extra week. As long as I hear back before finals, then I will be fine.Guess you have to wait an extra week, or you could camp outside the building and tackle the mail lady as she picks up the out going mail. (although that is probably a felony and not allow you to pass the background check if you were accepted)

What is the daily schedule like for the LDP students? I know it can change depending on classes, but I was curious to see how long those student were in class on average. Also, are the tests on a certain day of the week? At one of the schools I've interviewed at, all of the exams were on Saturdays
This is why ISP is the way to go... head into class? Forgetabout it. As my roommate is walking out the door to head to school in the AM, I am hitting the snooze button to get a few more winks. I LOVE ITSaturdays??? That really sucks. 1st year start at 8, 2nd years start at 830 and in general we almost always have a few classes after lunch in the afternoon. Sometimes we don't, but sometimes we're there until 5. If you just have a few classes in the morning and get out at lunchtime, its a good day 🙂
And most exams are on Mondays so you have the weekends to study.
I thought that I'd do LDP over everything else, but now PBL and ISP seem interesting. I like the idea of complete control over my time in ISP but I'm really not that good at budgeting my time studying efficiently.
FYI - When I found out I was waitlisted it said it on the portal a few days before the letter came in to mail.Hey congrats on the interview! And yeah give them a call. My original date wasn't until December 18th, and I interviewed three days ago. Give them a call and ask if they have any closer dates, the woman at the desk, colleen I think, was really helpful.

I guess I wasn't thinking too clearly when I wrote that. Even in undergrad I am not in complete control of my time. I probably won't even try to do ISP because I'm afraid that I wouldn't be diligent enough and I would fall behind.eliminate the word "complete" from this statement and you're more on track with the pathway. A better choice is "more."
I was looking at my status page on LECOM's portal, and it said that I was missing an Address Form. What is that? Prior to my interview the status page indicated that I wasn't missing anything, and now it's saying that I haven't sent in an address form.
I already had my interview, so I'm a little confused. I haven't received a letter with the Admission Committee's decision yet though. Is it something related to that?
I've already tried called Amy Rowe several times today and couldn't reach her. Anyone? 😕
The address form is something that comes in the envelope with your acceptance letter for you to send to them. My status thing changed and said i was missing an address form, then a few days later it changed again and it was added that i was missing a contingency acceptance form. then i got my acceptance letter. so i'm guessing you're probably accepted!
Depends if you like to drive or not.... Cheaper to fly into buffalo from JFK and drive than to fly to Erie direct.Interviewing Dec 2nd from Long Island. Does it make sense to fly into Buffalo?? How far is Buffalo from Erie?? Thanks.

Before reading this, I was content with not checking the portal ten times a day because I figured it wouldn't be updated. Now I guess I'll have to do it.
This will be under "View Admission Status"?
I actually drove to Erie from LI. Eight hour drive. Pretty simple to find, you only end up taking like three roads. Cross the GW, hop on I-95, then I80 for like six hours, then 79 north for an hour, and bam you're in erie. Ended up being significantly cheaper than flying.
Buffalos about a 1.5 hour drive from erie I believe.
Thanks!!! I'm interviewing on the 11th actually lol I got it confused with my TOURO-NY interview, which is on the 2nd. The reason I'm afraid to drive there is it will be right in the middle of snow season up there and that may definitely screw me up. I just spoke with Amy Rowe today and she said they just had a big snowstorm already!! She suggested flying as well. But thanks for your input.
Nope, it's under folder items.
If anything I'd think that flying would be more unreliable during a snowstorm than driving. They got a decent amount of snow when I was there for my interview.
Just got a letter in the mail.
I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED TO LECOM!!!?!?!$! I'M GOING TO BE A DOCTOR!!!r!!r!r!r
SDN you rock. Theres no way in hell I'd be in this position without this place.
Actually they do a good job of cleaning up the snow... So if it's be at least a day since the last storm coming through then you should be fine..Well I didn't mean that I'd want to fly DURING the storm. I mean that if they already have a foot of snow on the ground from a storm a few days earlier, it would be difficult to drive on. Whereas when you're flying, you don't need to worry about that.
Congrats on your invite.
Yeah... eastern LI does suck. That's why Queens Rocks! BOOO YAH!Hahahah wow that's crazy. I'm sure they're good at cleaning up the snow. I just don't think I want to take my chances driving there, but I'll think about it. Long Island SUCKS at cleaning up snow, and at that time of year, there's a chance we'll have some on the road. I'm also on eastern Long Island, so it's about a 9 hr drive. (not fun)
