Have those who interviewed back in November received the decision letters yet? I see that MedIsInMyBlood has gotten his.
I've been waiting for over 2 months and am running out of patience. Do you think they will tell us if we call?

I'm guessing you'll get ure letter tomorrow or the day after. What did u put as ure first choice? My status also changed last week so I'm hopping my letter tomorrow.

I received my letter yesterday!! But to my GREAT disappointment I was placed on the waitlist 🙁

The letter said that they were impressed with my interview but that the school has already filled the all of the seats available...

For those of you interested,
I had PBL as my top choice
Interviewed 11/19/2010.

Disappointment only begins to explain how I feel right now....

When the letter said all seats were filled do u think they mean for all pathways. I find that hard to believe because they continue to interview.

I was waitlisted as well and had pbl has my first choice...but they said that they didn't look at that until after we were already accepted. I think I might call and ask about it.🙁

This may be a very naive question but I to understand that admissions told you that the seats for the matriculating class of 2011 are all full? 😕😕

Yes, I was recently invited for an interview in early March as well.

To be honest, if the whole class is completely filled at this point, I don't think I will spend the money to get there just for a shot at the waitlist.

Will have to think about it.

I just got a letter from LECOM stating that I was waitlisted, and LDP was my first choice, so it's not only PBL or ISP students that are getting waitlisted. This is so stupid. So basically, if you are invited for a future interview, you are gunning for a waitlist seat.

Anyways, did everyone who got wait listed receive a second sheet of paper that you have to send back to confirm you would like to be wait listed?

I also wonder if LECOM is like DMU in that 0% of student's waitlisted get in. FML

For those of you interviewing now, I wouldn't let other people's comments influence your decision or optimism about getting in because you don't know for sure unless you call and ask yourself. I've heard stories about people who just make up things on sdn too, which I'm not accusing anyone of doing of course, but I know that interviewing now is nerve-wrecking and I feel bad that you guys are cutting yourself short without any real confirmation about whether or not the class is full. keep your head up.

A few posts above I wrote that there is a lot of movement off the waitlist. Check out last year's forum. Only 50% of the students they accept attend...I want to say they accept around 660 for 330 spots, or something like that. It is just a matter of time until people start withdrawing their acceptances and the waitlist starts moving.

They were still moving people off the waitlist during our orientation week--it will move quite a bit. I'm really surprised though that the class is full already. I had friends that were accepted after March or April interviews last year, not waitlisted (although I do have a few that were waitlisted and got in as well.)

It could happen. I was told back in October that they already had as many applications from the year before and that they were expecting some 5,000 applications this year. But I also have an interview in March.

I was asked to submit my LOR, so that my application can be reviewed. They mention on LECOM website that LOR are required only when one is offered an interview. Does that mean i might get an interview invite in the near future?

In my mind, being put on the waitlist is a positive in that they are still considering you; the positive also is that you didn't receive an outright rejection after your interview.
For those of you with interviews in February, March, and April, I know that LECOM Erie's class may look to be full one day, and have spots available the next; it's the nature of the rolling admissions system/process, so I wouldn't feel you are interviewing for a spot on the waitlist; if your stats are good and you interview well, chances are they will find a place for you.

I'm riding the wait list as well, interviewed Nov. 11. Has anyone heard of waitlisted people who interviewed any earlier? I keep thinking the few extra days it took me to get my DO letter in might have been the difference. Any guesses seem to be futile devices.

Just thought i'd give an update:

Finally got my letter about 2 weeks ago, and I'm IN (LDP)!

I'm still waiting to hear back from one allo school, which notoriously is quite hard to get into (and slow to get back to applicants), so I'm sending in my LECOM deposit this week! Erie, PA here I come...

Hard to tell. It seems like there's been tons of waitlists recently, but far from everybody that interviews posts here on SDN. I have friends that were accepted, not waitlisted, after March and April interviews last year, so I wouldn't say you're specifically interviewing for a waitlist spot. Only admissions could tell you for sure, but I have a feeling they won't release that information.

It is my understanding from last year that when ever they meet they review the entire applicant pool. So with that in mind people could come off the waitlist any time a spot opens up.

Has anyone been rejected? I thought that was extremely rare but according to my friend, he got rejected - not even waitlisted. Interviewed 12/11

There will be seats that will open up. Don't forget LECOM has a huge post bacc program. Everyone in post bacc that gets a certain GPA and MCAT are accepted. Not all of the students will make it, but some will.

u have no idea how badly I want to get off of this effing wait list. I try to stay busy with work so the reminder is kept to a minimum, but there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about it. It really sucks. Do u have other acceptances?
