Do you guys think I should wait to email Dr.inzana about if we will be hearing back any time before April 15th? Iā€™m curious because I want to know if I should be getting ready to reapply for the following cycle or not.

Iā€™d personally wait since in the email it sounds like they are really gonna wait til after April 15th. Which stinks cuz even when they might tell us, bottom half or upper half is so vague. Iā€™d just keep improving the app even without hearing back.

I would definitely start preparing what you may need for the next cycle. Assume the worst and be pleasantly surprised is the common wisdom for waitlists. Having said that Iā€™m stil keeping the dream alive that we both may get accepted after April!

I emailed Dr. Inzana and she said they will continue to progress down the waitlist until classes start. At first they will go fast but after April they slow down.

So some people may get acceptances before April 15th?
 
Have any of you asked if they can waive academic requirements? I am kind of a non-traditional applicant and had taken all my classes over 6 years ago. I applied last cycle and was waitlisted, applied again this cycle and waitlisted again. I have at this point retaken all the requirements except for Biochemistry which I am currently retaking. I have been accepted to Ross but since I would start in May I can't finish Biochemistry. LIU is my top choice for a few reasons but I am worried that I am going to have to give up hope if they don't waive Biochemistry for me.

I looked at c/o 2025 and it seems that there wasn't any more acceptances until April 15, however I think we should factor in the amount of people that don't use sdn and could have possibly gotten acceptances. Does anyone know of someone that got an acceptance when we got our waitlist notifications this cycle?
 
Does anyone happen to know how many people are waitlisted, or have been waitlisted previous years?

Sorry, I donā€™t know. It sounds like the waitlist is comprised of those who were interviewed in the 2nd and 3rd group and not rejected. If you email them and ask, I would be interested in this information as well.
 
hi! i was wondering if anyone knows if you are able to decline a seat after you pay the deposit somewhere? i am on the waitlist for both LIU and RVC, but i'm having a hard time deciding where i would go if i got off the list for both, but don't want to lose the opportunity if i decide to wait to hear from the other school (if that makes sense). i know that i would lose the deposit i was just wondering if anyone knew if it's at all possible/acceptable.

Yes you can! You would just lose your deposit.
 
For those on the waitlist- are we supposed to email admissions on Friday to find out where we are on the list, or is admissions going to email us about it on Friday?

they will email us - also when they called me a couple of weeks ago I believe they said they are releasing seats on the 16th!

Do you mind sharing why they called? I have not received a call from them and want to make sure I did not miss anything

Are they going to wait until Monday? Or contact some people Saturday?

they were just asking if I was still interested in their program! it was very out of the blue lol but it was sometime in march
 
I emailed and was told they wouldnā€™t be able to tell me until next week
 
Last year people received acceptances on April 16th, considering this year itā€™s Easter weekend I wouldnā€™t be surprised if we donā€™t hear until at least Monday or so.

I am a vet student that got accepted to LIU. I have been having trouble paying my deposit and enrolling. I know its last minute but if you could please help me out!
 
Did anyone else receive any news? I have been anxiously waiting all day - still radio silence on both my email and phone.
 
Agh I received a phone call at 11:50 this morning but I was at work šŸ™. They didnā€™t leave a message but I called back a few hours later and told them Iā€™m still interested in accepting a spot if thatā€™s what the call was about. Hopefully they get back to me soon! For others who got called off the waitlist today is there anything you had to do or was this just a preliminary phone call?

Just a phone call to say I was accepted. They said they would send a email soon with more information.

just got my acceptance email!!
 
IS- accepted. Got the call today around noon (didnā€™t answer because I was at work but it said it was from Brookeville) and the official email around 4pm! Will be declining due to having already accepted a spot at another school! Good luck to everyone else!
