LMU c/o 2027 Applicants

I am just thinking ahead of any case scenario. If we get waitlisted this year and then apply again and get an interview next cycle, do we have a higher chance of getting accepted?
 
Hey everyone! Just asking to calm my own nerves, has anyone who was fall only and received an interview heard anything? I figured we would all hear something after new years (whether its about acceptances, deferrals, and interviews) and I am aware that they are focusing on the silver cohort. Just curious if a couple of people heard anything!

I am fall only and interviewed Oct.17th and I have not heard anything. It will definitely be after the new year since they are closed for the holidays.
 
Just wanted to let you know that I made the extremely difficult decision yesterday to decline my seat at LMU. I was already on the rocks about going to the school due to the political climate and how rural it is but figured I would just tough it out. However, when my housing fell through last minute last week and I had to look for housing for me and my 2 ESAs who are so important to my mental health, I was harassed and told by multiple landlords that they wouldn’t accept my dogs, even when I told them that doing so was illegal. I decided based on the culture there that LMU and the surrounding area is just not the place for me and would be more detrimental to my own mental health. I hope that someone is able to accept this seat for the spring class and have a great experience there! It just wasn’t for me.
 
Any idea when we should be hearing from LMU about the fall class decisions for people who have already interviewed?

In years past they haven't sent out decisions until March so I wouldn't expect to hear back until then. They usually have at least one more interview date in January as well. Things have been different this year with the addition of the spring cohort so that could change things around but I would plan on that timeframe unless they send out information that is different.

Expect nothing until after classes start January 9. This cycle cannot be compared to past cycles because of the addition of the spring cohort has accelerated interviews, committee decisions, etc. As an educated guess, I would say February maybe the soonest fall information is breached for a variety of reasons, namely the return from the break and transcript verifications. Unfortunately, there is no good timeline at present.

Those will be whatever company your institute(s) have agreements with if it’s electronic (Clearinghouse & Parchment being the two main ones).

You can send physical transcripts by mail, but most advise electronic for ease of verification and documentation - and mail can be lost at times.

There are current students, such as myself, in there answering questions and helping this incoming class start off right. There’s also faculty meeting the new students and also answering questions.

I agree with Gangar as well. It is tough to predict this cycle because of the addition of the spring cohort. Since Spring is filled now and from what it sounds like interviewing is done, we might hear back next month. Again, I am crossing my fingers for early decisions and basing my information on the info session.

Agreed. I can imagine that they will factor in fall grades when making their decisions. We don’t really know how many people got the option of Spring of Fall semester. I am sure this will factor in as people accept/ decline their seats at other schools and LMU.
 
Has anyone gotten any rejections from LMU? I never got an interview and haven’t heard anything yet so just wondering.
 
I just got an email saying my transcripts were viewed by LMU, hopefully this is a good thing??🥲🥲

This is done after they accept the transcripts from the sender. It usually only takes a few days. They get the transcript electronically and view them. I am assuming they upload them to our files after this.

I've seen a couple people earlier in the thread say they were rejected.... But I'm in the same boat as you; haven't heard anything regarding admission status n whatnot

The transcript site emailed me the same thing as well and I also had this same question! To double check, I emailed LMU admissions yesterday asking if they received it and they confirmed they did! So I’m sure your transcript has been received as well!

My school sent an email to me that my transcripts were sent on the 21st of December but I haven’t heard anything from LMU. I will most likely send LMU a email to double check as well.
