Damn, I don't think I would be able to even function if I get slammed with five rejections in a week. I'd just crawl into bed and stay there for a few days while crying and eating copious amounts of chocolate. Glad you're not deterred by those rejections and you're still applying! Best of luck!

Considering I’m currently at 8 rejections, it’s a pretty terrible feeling that makes you feel like the most inadequate person.

im so sorry, but you're not an inadequate person 🙁! I would write to the admissions office of each school to ask for a review of what you can improve for next cycle. I've been in that position before, but im re-applying now. Take time to reflect and disconnect, and "grieve" this cycle,. I know that helped me get things off my chest and then re-arrange myself to improve for next time. the only person who can change your future is you! these rejections won't stop you

This is my 4th cycle. I'm spent. Also, most schools are encouraging students not to ask for file reviews as they are not offering them.

I get too anxious watching these. For one thing the song most of them are set to gives me the creeps. And some people roll out 15-18 schools and have one acceptance and the rest rejections. I applied to seven. I had to cut myself off from watching them.

I applied to 13 and it didn’t help me. Hindsight is 20/20 for what we should’ve done, but it’s all “what if” scenarios at the end of the day.

This was my first cycle so I wasn't sure how many to apply to. I just applied to whichever I qualified for with pre-reqs. So total 16. Got into Ross Vet Prep but also already 5 rejection decisions from schools. Now just waiting on the rest.

That was me last year. I tried to get in with the 3+1 but no luck. I had taken most of my OChems but hadn’t done enough of the others to prove myself (I think). Are you at LSU for undergrad? I’m wondering how many people are in the application pool that are already at LSU. My degree is from another school.

And, all it takes is one so you never know. It cost a fortune to apply to the 7 I have this year. Really hoping a yes is out there somewhere although of course LSU would be my top choice for obvious reasons! Best of luck to you!

I’m OOS, third cycle applicant and first time applying to LSU. Decided to apply because of them increasing class size and being more holistic, and my friend/coworker/roommate is a vet that graduated from LSU and loved it!

I actually graduated 2020 from LSU with my bachelors! I didn’t know about the 3+1 until I was in my junior year unfortunately; I did however get my masters in public health in 2022 to hopefully give myself a better chance of being competitive (and also as a backup plan if I don’t wind up getting in after however many tries). But I’m seeing everyone on here mentioning their masters didn’t help much as far as I thought it would, which is nuts! Best of luck to you as well 🙏🏼
