Lurking Beloww: Sea Monsters Sign Ups and Game Thread

Why is it my responsibility to?
If it was a mistake, the post would've been updated.
Mods respond fast to my PMs. C'est la vie.
Cause it's kinda sketchy to wonder that for yourself but not want others to know

My qualifications for determining sketchiness: I just got out of 2 wolf chats

I will say it's likely everyone who has an ability probably used it on genny last night. Unless genny is a wolf, in which case probably only villagers +/- chaos.

Can you elaborate genny on why you think the block was wolfy?

Killing mel puts certain people slightly lower on the list for me. Though two deaths always raises some questions; is it a limited ability of one of the wolves, 2 packs, chaos? Right now chaos and 2 packs are lower for me, but still possible.

Lynch bj

Just a somewhat random vote for now.

So you think mel was an intentional target last night? Not just someone who swam up capri's urethra?
Write up makes me think that Cheezit was collateral damage. Perhaps it was Capri's ability to take someone down with her? Because also doesn't sound like he was found...in her urethra...

One passenger found a smaller creature caught in a tentacle. This fish must have just hitched a ride. It's not even found in these parts.

Of course, could just be mod flair for getting them both to be in the same ocean:
...Native to the Amazon River Basin...

In which case I think a double kill is by far the most likely option. Side eyeing skim a bit for suggesting multiple factions with no evidence.

Guess someone was scared
Go village? I guess?

If she's a wolf, wolves are probably not going to use their abilities on her. Thought it was an obvious statement

That's very wifom as wolves can also use their abilities on other wolves to look good.

Ok, why do you think it's wolfy?

Edit: to clarify, why do you think the block is wolfy

I feel like the delay functions so much better for wolves than village. If it’s a village role, wolves are notified and can plan to have someone else kill, so it would only block abilities.

Coffee's tone seems off to me in a confident/snark way

lynch coffee

could waffle later if something else comes up

Why's that? And why don't you want to switch?
I am a staunch supporter of the "for once, can we let bryndi play for more than 2 days, goddamn it" club

But that reasoning feels way off to me. If someone was going to jump on a sketchy vote, why use tone (since Coffee is always snarky) as the justification, vs self-prez? It's like she thought about how to justify it, but also didn't really think about it.

Why would they not use abilities on each other?

What's more, haven't you done that before on a wolf team?
Ok sure, they absolutely could. And yes I absolutely have before. But it's still less likely especially depending on what the wolf abilities are. Ability seer wolf isn't going to waste a night seering a packmate, a wolf blocker may do it to see what the blocking notification looks like but then the recipient will know it's coming so they can plan accordingly.

It would be a strategic thing and still far far less likely to be happening and even then only by crazy people like me who overthink things. I swear you guys read too much into things.

What would be the purpose of a delayed blocking ability? If anything it's at least nice to know your plans will not work out ahead of time rather than banking on finding out a piece of information and then learning you were blocked. Just seems weird to me. I guess I could see how it might be less useful in village hands but I've been village blocker enough times to be less likely to assume a block is wolfy.

iirc, bryndi's lived a normal amount of time since post-Meat. What wrong with pressuring anyways? It's too stressful when someone's in the lead with 2 votes < 1 hour until deadline. Who even self-prez at this point?

😵

Although, I just realized she lived until end game last time. But the game was only 4 days long so I'm not sure that counts.

Do we have evidence these are these exact wolf abilities we're dealing with?

I legit think you guys are mixing her up with greeney.

It's a little early in the day for self-prez, don't you think? And of all the crap D1 reasons I could use to vote for someone, tone and feels isn't half bad. I don't get why you are trying to shade my vote when you are sitting on a vote for dvmd that's based off of feels as well.

Edit: *were sitting on a dvmd vote
