Oh and I did see the discussion about Gorgons and Basilisks, etc. Just a quick few points of clarification on that topic (seeing as I'm using a Gorgon avatar) - 1) I'm not playing as Medusa, the avatar is of Meduas's sister, Stheno (actually it's of Medusa but I've chosen to title it 'Stheno' instead because it matches one of her descriptions in mythology better) - anyway, depending on which myth writings you go by (I think I might be following Ovid, but I'd have to double check) Stheno doesn't have the ability to turn people to stone - so I didn't accidentally look into a reflecting surface and, "oops, statue" 😛 2) I'm not actually a Gorgon, I just really love the whole Gorgon mythology, and I wanted a cool avatar so I went with something that was kinda sorta close-ish to what my character actually is. I actually don't know if there are any genuine mythology creatures in the game, but it would be cool if there was.🙂

Mixed emotions on the PBC lynch. I kinda figured she really was a villager, but agree that some things sounded off, so part of me was hoping that she was a wolf and it was that easy.😳

I'm actually kind of glad I was turned to stone and couldn't post, like, pm, or vote - even if it did mean I couldn't defend myself if I was nominated for lynching, at least I didn't have to feel bad if I'd decided to go with the what others were feeling and lynch poor PBC. :sorry:
 
I don't feel that bad about it. I didn't like that it came up they would ask to be a wolf convert.

People defended PBC and tried to soften the charge to, "Just rather play as a wolf" "Likes Chaos", but the above was stated by someone as well.

I'm just glad I don't have to look over my shoulder as far as PBC goes.
 
Okay, it's been a blast as always, even if I was just lurking on and off whilst catching snoozes in between. 😀 I'm going to unwind and rest for a little bit, and hopefully refresh my brain for tonight's day cycle, because I'll be attempting to do my first actual strategic lynch (as in trying to do the whole picking up on tells, feels, listening to the reasoning of others, and so on) rather than just doing what I did in round 1 and picking the person I think is least likely to be lynched (or waiting until last minute and just going with someone who has zero or low votes when the outcome is already pretty much a given). Okay, I'm a little nervous after what happened with PBC, but I'll give it a go (time to get my hands bloodied, digits crossed it's wolf blood). 🙂
 
If you want to talk about not so villagery playing while a villager, didn't Kam sort of ask to be converted in the Peter Pan game? I remember something about her figuring out who a wolf was, and then sending them a message (as part of their role) hinting at knowing they were a wolf instead of saying something in thread.

If you guys are willing to lynch m PBC over self converting in the Favorite Things game, you should probably be suspicious of kam as well then.

I like Your point.

We shouldn't be lynching people for their play in other games. It's different to use their playstyle to determine if village or wolf.

That was PBC's first game modding so a special occasion, since I was chaos with PBC in our first ever game and the girl bleeds blue. :pirate:

Her liking to be a wolf/chaos convert doesn't change the number of converts in the game. I think her claiming a role that didn't really fit with things she usually loves (aka chaos) is relevant, but just her liking to be a convert shouldn't be a reason to lynch someone.

Oh, I remember. No one believed me when I tried to lynch you for it. I mean, yeah I was a wolf.... But I was still right 😛


And for the record, I'm not saying anyone should actually lynch you yet. You're a really strong villager (when you actually play for the villagers.... 😉 ) and I want you around unless there is a reason you shouldn't be. Just didn't realize that so many people where actually just lynching PBC for play in past games solely and was pointing out the inconsistency.

And agreed. Numbers are numbers, I don't like the idea of lynching a villager because of their affiliation preferences at all.
 
Last night was anything but peaceful. While some folks can sleep through just about anything, all that hammering and singing sure kept a few people awake all night. Even a silencing spell couldn't have solved that one. How rude! Some magical folks just can't respect quiet hours. Nevertheless, any great magical happenings occurred throughout night, and the townspeople felt happy that they perhaps did some good.

The kid from yesterday wandered into her front yard, but couldn't find the statue she had grown to love. How does something like that just disappear? Her mother comforted her for the rest of the night. Once everyone finally fell asleep and the ruckus stopped, it seemed like only a moment before the magnificent sun rose over the mountains once again. Shimmering Lake looks so beautiful at sunrise. All the magical folk wiped the sleep from their eyes and stared in horror at the big oak tree in the middle of the village. How could this have happened? You all found @Ceke2002, the beloved and amazing villager dragon, dead in quite the gruesome way! All limbs had been ripped from his body and stuck upright in the blood-soaked and charred soil. The residents wept while collecting his body parts for a proper burial. However, all was not lost. Welcome back @finnickthedog who has returned from the dead. Please note the roster changes.

I don't understand these kill choices. I looked at Ceke as like a shiny new toy that I was really excited to play with. :hardy:

But somebody else was less amused, huh? I guess the jewelry obsession makes even more sense now.

Kind of just skated by yesterday without a particularly solid defense because of the concurrent vote on PBC. Would like to get votes going early today to allow people to defend.

I'd like to know why people thought I was sketchy. I feel that I'm playing exactly like I normally do especially in the first few days.
 
I still don't feel great about AM's defense when she was almost lynched on day 1. I'd kind of like to see a discussion go in that direction and see what everyone thinks. Since I'm heading off to work in a little bit, I'm going to go with lynch AM for now, open to changing if conversation proves that it's not a good choice.

True, trolls can go either way, but even if she had a more village sounding role, she could have been rezzed wolf. I generally feel it's appropriate to allow a newly rezzed player to live for at least one cycle before lynching, unless the village rezzer knows they didn't do it and can somehow out that info without outing themselves.
 
Ugh, I was really feeling something was up with PBC. Not I'm not sure where to go.

I guess lynch AM. Same reasoning as she was being voted for on Day 1. She joined bandwagon-type lynches without having real reasoning the first day, and adding that yesterday she hardly posted at all. I could almost see it as she was keeping quiet to try to keep her name out of the way.
 
Not casting a vote yet but I'm still suspicious of AM. She escaped lynch with what was imo a pretty lackluster defense and never really bothered to address people's questions about her, preferring to instead claim mega-importance.

When LIS started the lynch yesterday, I nodded because I feel like you're usually a bit more helpful. Even in early days. Now I just think you got out of that lynch without doing anything of a defense, and I want us to not forget about it. Kind of like what the others are doing with AM.

Yeah, that falls thoroughly under the "don't be an dingus" mantra of WW playing. More often than not, people come back their true affiliation, and almost immediately lynching someone who already got killed early...

Lynch AM, because she publicly claimed an important role then did not die. Wondering if there was a coin-flip for who died in the tie, it came up for her, and she had a lynch avoidance. Only explanations I can come up with for night survival are that the wolves have multiple kills and she was protected both nights, or WIFOM is working on the wolf side to keep them from attempting a night kill on her?
 
I don't know what to make of Ceke dying and Fin being rezzed.

I could go with a lynch AM

because despite being a novice, there was just something off about her reasoning on the day that I can't attribute to newbieness because it seemed to lack a basic logic.

but I also want to hear more from Trilt on why she isn't a wolf. I'm getting some feelz. Discuss.
 
also I should be going to sleep soon and will set my alarm for 5 pm PST to hopefully catch the last hour of voting (it's 10:30 am here now.) I take some pretty powerful sleep meds so there's a chance I don't wake at all before deadline since they make me sleep more than 7 hours as a general rule. We'll see how it goes.

for now I'm comfortable with a AM vote and explained why. don't take my quiet for anything but sleep.

anyone that has PM'd me I've replied to and they can tell you that. the ones in my group. don't lynch me in my sleep lol

No great intel insights there.

Also, lynching AM does me no favors since she's in my PM group and we just lost Ceke. So I wouldn't be voting to lynch her if I didn't have bad feelz, because I'm not going to cut off my only lines of communication/intel unless I have reason to suspect someone in my group more than the next guy, and in this case I do as explained.

(and before you said, wait, you don't believe in "feelz" I already explained that "explainable feelz based on things said in thread/PM you can point to" are not the "just because I feelz feelz" that I hate). Feelz is great shorthand for suspicion but ideally you could articulate some reasoning behind the suspicion.

All of these explanatory posts are so I can get my thoughts out into the thread before passing out for the day and then "appearing suspicious." If anyone points to my "quietness" please point out my q24 hr explosion of thought. It you want to lynch me for what I've said, go for it, but don't lynch me for "quiet" just because I don't have a giant post on every PAGE in a day.

this is faulty logic.

Lets make the assumption there's some sort of protective role. Do you agree with that?

ok, so if you're a wolf, are you going to shoot the outed important role? Prob not if you think they will be protected.

My defense was so poor due to the close deadline. But since everyone's lynching me early enough in the day, I can give a better one.

Both you and Genny should know what my important role is. I believe I didn't die because it was a tie. Some games are just run that way.

Even though raf is also suspicious of me, at least she took time to PM me before deciding I was sketchy (even with knowing my role).
 
I'm really surprised by these AM votes considering the claims she made and the fact that no one has spoken out against her. After what she said, I would be pretty disappointed if she hasn't been checked into already, and you'd think the information would have gotten out if there was reason to believe she was wolfy.

And I'm also on the "don't lynch the person who died village and was just resurrected" wagon, but considering the post-restriction weirdness I think it would be a very good idea to look into Finn in the coming nights.
