it was outed late in the day. you don't think a villager would want that info out earlier?
But you confirmed the info is true, right?

I also told someone I trust the name of the person who gave me the info, so if it turns out false, they can answer how they got the info. This is sort of whisper down the lane as the person who told me claims they are not the source.

ninja'd by hearsay.

I suppose. Wasn't really thinking that way, but then it kind of depends if it's hearsay (so took a while to get to Jil) or direct from source.

I get what you are saying, but I would still think if the source is indeed villager and those who heard the info before Jil finally got it were also villager, it would have been outed earlier. Also seems odd to have Jil outing it when she is already under suspicion.

I am always weary of late in the day info, even if it is true, because villagers usually be right on that ish and getting the info out early so it can be discussed.

I am not doubting the validity of the info, more the intent of those revealing the info.

I get it. Wasn't thinking that way, but valid points all around. I guess I'd be more concerned if Dy hadn't confirmed the info, but it's definitely worth keeping in mind.

Aye, the idea of making it go to a third party is gammy at best, especially one under suspicion. Now I want to hame this if it's a wolf move, and no Clem will come of this if it's simply the intermediary that is being revealed. Who is this intermediary Jilary?

I told someone who that was.

That's what bugs me - it coming out from Jilary with Jilary on the hot plate. If she were a villager, I'd think she'd put that info out much earlier. It smacks of being a wolf wanting to hold off on publicizing the chaos info for a while, and then later deciding to do it to save her skin.

I dunno. I haven't caught up on thread yet, so maybe Jilary turns out townie, maybe she turns out scummy, but ..... so far in my thread reading, I just keep seeing <nothing> to make me change my vote.

Sigh... I'm really tired of being lynched as a villager.

...... said everyone who has played more than 5 or 6 games.

We <all> hate being lynched as a villager.

If you really turn out to be one ... *shrug*. You seemed wolfy, and I had an actual reason to disbelieve you, so I make no apologies for the lynch. Sucks if you weren't really a wolf, but it's WW - we're wrong more often than we're right.

@Gwenevre, I know it's not how you usually play, but I'd really like to hear your suspicions and thoughts right now.

Same to @morninqlory. You quiet people weird me out.
Suspicions? I'm suspicious of Jil keeping back half of her abilities. I'm suspicious of Dy and her claim that she can win with villagers. IIRC, she's usually someone who's all for "lynch anything not 100% village." Otherwise, I will freely admit that I haven't been keeping up with this game as much as I wish. Yeah, it's not an excuse, blah blah LIS can tell me all about it 😛 It's difficult to nail down subtle suspicions when I have a blank spreadsheet from working overtime the last week on the farms.

Today, the village was uneasy. No one knew who to trust. Everyone was especially on edge since they had all embarked on a quest. You must trust your teammates after all. "She must die!" cried everyone. So they picked up their pitchforks and repeatedly stabbed one of the most powerful beings in the land.

Dead is @Jilary, villager Sandman.

And quite frankly, I got stuck in a position where no matter how I defended myself during lynch yesterday, people would still be suspicious. Understandable, but it's frustrating nonetheless. I didn't say anything, that's suspicious. I revealed my ability, that's suspicious. I get that paranoia and suspicion is rampant in WW, I do. But there's never been a right way to do things. Passive abilities like mine aren't uncommon, and I'm more than welcome to being seered.

In Dy's "defense" (I hesitate to use the world, but....), *I* am usually the one who is "lynch anything not 100% village."

I don't really care if someone doesn't keep up with the game. God knows *I* coast through plenty of games. If you think that's what I'm saying, then I've not said it well. You should still have some suspicions and should still throw them out there and should still be voting for them.... it just means they are that much less informed if you aren't able to keep up. Big deal. What annoys me is when someone signs up, then doesn't play basically <at all> and just pops in and throws random votes. People shouldn't sign up if that's what they are going to do. I mean.... look at it this way: if you went over to your friend's house to play board games and then you sat down at the table and opened a book and read a book and just made random moves every turn because you weren't actively playing ....... isn't that kinda rude?

I guess I just think there is a limit to how much slack is reasonable, and, as a courtesy to the rest of the players, people shouldn't play if they can't at least keep up a TINY TINY bit.

Doesn't mean every player has to be aggressively tracking the thread all day. That's not realistic; especially in the field we're all in - whether a student, a vet, or struggling to get pre-reqs done while building experience. Yanno?

K, well, Jilary was villager. So you say your only suspicions in this game are the person who revealed to be non-villager in the past couple hours?

Honestly, it's not just your ability. It's that you outed it kind of weirdly - you did so with no attempt to keep it under wraps when the strength is in wolves being unaware, and before there was really much pressure. Why out it today with two votes, vs. yesterday when you were a couple waffles away from being the main contender?

I understand. And that's why I've skipped out on games here and there recently, because I know that those were bad times to play and keep up. I was expecting this to be a nicer week than it has been.

Ya know what? Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. Because being in a passive role, I don't get background information handed to me on a regular basis. And like some other players here, I don't start PMs with others. Poor play? Probably. But it's a personal preference and has been my consistent style since I started playing. As I've stated at least once before in another game, unless I have info to share, I stay quiet. I had info today, I shared it.

And yeah, I would have liked to keep my ability under wraps. But after being the second runner yesterday, I weighed the pros and cons of revealing before another rush of votes hit me today. There was enough talk going on about Jil yesterday that I didn't feel like I was in immediate danger. If there had been waffles and I came in the lead, then I probably would have revealed yesterday. Again, poor play? Maybe. But I did it. Not much to change or debate about how I should or shouldn't have said it.

Also lis can confirm I told him about my role before it came up here.

It wasn't necessarily that jil was wolfy. More her source. Because often wolves have seer roles, too.

Dyachei filled me in on her role shortly before it came up here. All I know is what has been posted here - neutral/chaos (I forget what she said) with a win condition that she claims requires her to win with villagers. I have no evidence that it is true.

Me sham (friend), so you had the ability to revive twice and a lynch avoidance? Just clarifying since I am a flute and all

Yupper. I am "villager Phoenix." Able to rez twice, and dodge lynch. I rezzed Finn and then PBC (should have rezzed Ceke, but I f'd up and was confused over which one was the seer). Anyone who has played with me knows I am a HUGE proponent of using the rez early rather than risking dying with it - to me the numbers 'bonus' of the rez far outweighs the 'wait and rez a seer' (too bad I could have done both..... ***** move on my part - no excuse other than I got confused).

I realize revealing my lynch dodge puts me at risk of wolf death. I'm ok with that. Decided cards on the table were best in this case.

My point being that admitting I was "chaos" and telling you about it before it came up has almost no advantage to me. Lying makes very little sense.

Oh, I get/got it. I just wanted to make sure people knew I didn't have any more info than was already here. And I couldn't really verify anything.

But yes, Dy did fill me in on that prior to it coming up here.

Guess I just don't understand playing the game that way. I know there's a couple of you guys, but to not talk is one thing. To not even think about it just makes me question the point. The way you dealt with outing your ability still feels weird to me, but I can accept your reasoning.

well, except being able to say this of course. 😉

So are you labeled as chaos?

Yes. I'm technically chaos. Except I can't win Unless the village does. So basically a villager

Cool. If we have an ask-a-mod who can do longer answer questions, asking what the chaos win condition is would be nice. Or, if yes/no is all that's allowed, ask if the claimed condition is true and chaos can only win with village.

You're a good player. If hmoo/kata were thinking of my recent games while designing at all, there's precedence for chaos that can win with others, and I'd like to keep you around. But you're still chaos, and we can't really trust anything you say. So, only if verification is possible... otherwise I'd need a very good reason to want to keep you around for more than a short while.

What the eff, LIS? How long is "shortly"? I don't understand why you would sit on this info.

@Gwenevre, I know it's not how you usually play, but I'd really like to hear your suspicions and thoughts right now.

Same to @morninqlory. You quiet people weird me out.

I have been trying to post a little here and there when I can read on the thread, but I don't like to post until I've read everything that has been said which is why I didn't get a vote in until what I thought was the deadline tonight. I realized it was almost deadline like 13 minutes before and had to read before lynching randomly. Right now I have more people who I don't feel are wolfy then feels on people who are, which right about now are close to none. - After looking at the roster maybe I'm suspicious of people in Valley of Death, ny, and LIS ... I am like suspicious of LIS 1/2 of the time though so that never means anything to me and I don't know that I have a good reason to be suspicious of any of these others... so yeah, everyone else I dunno. Sorta still suspicious of Gwen too but I don't know how much. I haven't PMed with anyone either, except for this competition thing.

Anyways, I've been trying to make it a point to read a little a few times throughout the day but I'm working pretty much from when I get up until when I come home to go to bed and I lose track of time and am a little freaking out because I'm supposed to be moving soon and haven't bought a plane ticket or decided if I'm really not going and have a ton of stuff I need to do before I go if so, but that's a topic for another thread.

Gonna be on a boat (cue Lonely Island) with minimal reception for a good chunk of the day today. Just want to:

contingency lynch vetmedhead

before I go. I feel like she has been super agreeable with other peoples' thoughts while not really contributing as much of her own this game, which strikes me as a bit different from her typical village play. Would like to put some pressure on her and see what that yields.
