Alright yall. Go on youtube and watch funny videos. Family feud, Def Comedy Jam, Desus &Mero, etc...something to brighten up your spirits and get your mind off this. Watch something on netflix (I'm going to catch up on Supergirl, Flash and Arrow) and try to relax. Let's try to stay off sdn until we get our emails because we're driving ourselves mad. Hugs and prayers to everyone!

My email didn’t say June 1st.

I wonder if the people who applied by the priority deadline were the ones who were told by June 1st?
 
It was in the confirmation email that was sent in the beginning of May.

Oh I was talking about the email saying it.had been recommended to go forward in the process. That one didnt.mention a date

Yea I realized that too. So was the status update from the May 3rd email referring to our email from May 18th? That would be mad annoying.

Did anyone verbally speak to someone in admissions who said we'd know by June 1st?

😒 so the "everyone would know about their status by June 1" = " your application is moving forward to the next step" email? &not the final decision!? :uhno:

I don't remember who it was, but someone did speak to admissions and they said we would have a final decision (aka acceptance/rejection) on June 1st at the end of the day.. hence why many people on this thread thought the decisions would come out at around 5pm because that is when the office closes on regular days 🙁 But of course, nothing!!

I was the one who spoke to admissions ! I called them on May 15th because I was mad as they didn’t release decisions that day! The guy told me they were planning to release all decisions (priority and non-priority) together after 5 pm on June 1st! Don’t worry I can call them back on Monday

Same. When I called, I was told 5/15 but then that email said 6/1. So, first it was 4/30.....5/15.....6/1....?!
 
I’m sure we’ll hear something in June though since registration is in July
 
Well seeing that June 1 I saw officially over in Nashville it’s safe to say we won’t here by the end of the day. Hopefully they’re ready for the mass amount of calls on Monday and hopefully this isn’t indicative of how the program will be run
 
Meharry is so disrespectful. Lol The admissions staff was out enjoying their Saturday while we were stressing. I wonder what could be happening this year?
 
Well I know we are all pretty disappointed we did not hear yesterday but my guess is they are looking at every single application holistically (reading every one instead of putting key identifiers like MCAT and GPA and use an algorithm to screen out a bunch of students like a lot of other programs do). So that's probably what is taking them a while.

I'm hopeful we will hear something soon whatever day it comes.

Already know that much but students from previous years seemed to have been notified already. Just wondering if it's something else. I interviewed for the dental program but didn't receive an official rejection. The silence was kinda the answer. The lack of communication is worrying when you've been waiting since January(thats when I interviewed ).

Hopefully we get an update tomorrow after people call and email.
