When I called on Monday, I was told that decisions should be sent out this week as they were still finalizing things which is when the person on the phone elaborated by disclosing the amount of apps received. They also stated, that some applications were even still under review. However, he said that they should be sent out this week. We can continue to call, but honestly I don’t know how much benefit it will serve. I wholeheartedly believe that they are trying their hardest to get us those decisions out by the end of this week, though.

I was also told by the end of the week
 
At this point, I’m just gonna act like i didn’t get accepted. I’m gonna study for my MCAT and prepare to take it in August and I’m gonna submit my AMCAS application. If i get accepted to MHS that will just be a bonus and i will accept the offer . But i can’t be waiting on Meharry doing nothing because this is just making me put my life on hold and I am wasting time.

I’m reapplying to Meharry anyway so I’m studying right now to take the MCAT before submitting another AMCAS app lmbo

Yea It's just to believe anything they say at this point when they have changed the date several times.

Time to stop worrying about it and shift focus
 
Wait for Friday by 5 pm and then call Monday morning if no luck?

Trying their hardest would be sending out an updated email apologizing for not making the deadline and giving a new date that they know for sure
 
I honestly wouldn’t want to be on the adcom. I can’t imagine looking through all those applications. I think the MHS program had 300 apps for them to filter through. I just hope they stick to the end of this week but I’m not banking on it that’s for sure.

Yeah I was told they waiting on the committee and they don’t know when the decisions will be made but hopefully this week -_- and the whole Mcat/gpa situation will be noted in the contract come August but nothing can be confirmed number wise at this point. I just don’t understand why this is taking so long when most of the professional students were already accepted.

So, I went to look at the Meharry Med school thread to see if any of them were having difficulties and as of Monday, according to one person, they have started to take people of the waitlist. And people on the waitlist were supposed to hear back by May 16. 😵 So, I guess there really is a slow down for all the programs. Lordt

wow. so if that's their energy for their med students, I will continue to keep my expectations low

Hmm. So I guess when they are done with wait list acceptances they will start with MHS acceptances.
 
I called and was told that the committee has to inform admissions of decisions. Admissions does not have any more information right now. Decisions will be released in cycles and not all at once.

Given so many mixed responses to this dilemma, can others call and perhaps reach someone else to see if we can get more clarity?

I think its a waste of time and energy to call; its quite obvious that even internally they don't have a clue what is going on. I wonder if its wise to spend this kind of money on a program and we have no clue what the expectations are to matriculate into medical school. I wonder if this is just a way to bring more money into the school from hopefuls like us

If that is true, that is ridiculous! I don’t know about others but I actually had to think about the money I spent on my app !

Now it's back to being released in cycles lol.

This has all gotten to a point where it makes me laugh at all the changes.
 
Maybe one of y’all can get some more clarity from someone higher up.

I almost want to ask if they could just let me know now if I am rejected so I can move on from this.

Not only that can you imagine the amount of money they stand to make on this from tuition for those of us who get in the MHS but won't be albel to matriculate to the Med Program. What will I do with a MHS?

That's wild to think about, but if I get in to MHS, I'm making sure I matriculate to the Med program.

Right! No other way around it. I’ll be damned if i go through all this uncertainty and stress and then not matriculate into the next medical class. If we do get in we all gonna help each other to get to the next point. #NoChildLeftBehind #ByAnyMeansNecessary
