Hey guys! Wanted to get y'all opinion. I applied for MHS since Dec but before that I began the MSPH application. Do you think its necessary or not to apply for MSPH as well?

MSPH is 2 years, right? if you want a public health degree, go for it.

Does anyone know how financial aid works for MHS? Cause I completed my FAFSA app for 2021-22 and wanted to know if they give the aid money before or after the program starts.

Disbursement of funds generally comes after the first or second week of classes.

I don't believe there's a separate application but the deadline was March 31st.

Not yet :/ I think they’re still working on the MD students. I believe MD interviews should be done on April 15th tho

Yeah that reason too and so for this year the deadline was earlier so we should hear back sooner than last year

I sent my transcripts to Ms. Shelita McIntosh email address when I applied directly.

You should check your junk email. I was pretty sad when I saw everyone saying they received an under review email. I checked junk like a week later and found it there.

I didn't send any transcripts yet since I didn't see anywhere on the Meharry application where they mentioned where to send over transcripts. And you don't need to take the GRE

I reached out to a current MHS student concerning your question and she said she's pretty sure some of her classmates had sub 3.0 GPAs

When I reached out to Ms. Mclntosh on April 15th, she told me final status updates will be released in 2-4 weeks. So I think we're looking into mid-May.
