Just wondering, but can we lynch people in the Gorge again? Would they go away completely? If there is a wolf in there, would they still be able to communicate with the rest of them?

Wait, so I can still talk? Awesome. Trust me, I know how Lissa feels--I went for a very long stretch being always the first one lynched or killed in the Lounge. I'm fairly decent at sniffing out wolves when I'm a villager, and I'm a pretty good wolf when I'm a wolf.

It sucks not getting to play very long. But I don't understand being upset over it, and I don't understand altering logical game play because of it.

At least here, she can still participate in the game, even if she can't vote or use whatever ability she might have had. .

Told you my thinking.

Go back and try reading comprehension prior to a knee jerk emotionsal personal attack then.

I can do this all day long. Ask anyone familiar. We can continue being unpleasant if you like. Balls in your court.

I will point out, I brougt the last game home. So I'm not bad at this. And I can be wrong. Was I wrong about lynch veterans *IF* you don't have info?? I thought maybe I was but now that Samoa is a wolf I'm not sure her point isnt a little too self serving and comes without some sort of secondary gain. Will have to sake her for real after the game. She really is up on this game theory stuff.

Huh. I didn't know that I was having a "knee jerk emotionsal personal attack". Nor did I know we were being unpleasant.

Overreact much?

I didn't over-react.

I made a self-deprecating joke and you're like, "Oh that's you in real life" included a smiley face and you're trying now to tell me you weren't being unpleasant or trying to make a passive-aggressive personal attack?

Pissing on my back and telling me it's rain is one thing, but taking a huge crap on my back and telling me it's soft, warm hail is just insulting my intelligence.

I'll assume at this point you did go back and flexed those reading comprehension skills and understand my rationale, because it was spelled out and I think, even you, could understand. 🙂

So that's a yes on the overreacting then. Check. Got it. If you really seriously think that was a knee-jerk emotional reaction .....

Well, I went back. And I'm still a bit confused. But since you're not willing to explain, and instead have opted to go for the "you're too stupid to understand" option, I'll quit asking.

I must say, I find it kind of fun to be sitting here bleeding out. I get to join in on the chatter and strategizing, without having to worry about the pressure of lynching people when we don't have a for sure wolf (as the last game shows, I'm not necessarily the best at finding wolves). But yay for finding one now!

It was. You were being a dick because I don't have sympathy regarding lissa's being killed in the game.

Here is what I said . . .

Look. My experience from modding games in the lounge with your pre-vet people is that they tend to focus night activities, including kills on people they know which is usually the vets that hang out in the lounge. I think I've hosted about four games now where this was the case. You can call it silly all you want but it's true none the less. Granted, there probably is a lounge player or two in with the wolves but if we're in a situation where we are just guess, which was not this round, then guess pre-vet seem like a bigger money bet.

I even quoted it. Made it easier for you.

Based on my experience with pre-vets and vets in the lounge, as a moderator, they spend the game doing their actions on other vets. It's an observation that has led to the notion that there are probably mostly (and even all) pre-vet wolves.

Is this clearer for you?

Hey guys! Sorry for not voting...work got the best of me and I went to see the Hobbit (which is fantastic btw). So yay for getting a wolf? My question is do we need to kill Samoa twice to get rid of her altogether? Or do "dead" players stay in the gorge for the rest of the game but just can't use their roles?

************************
See SOV... you don't need me for there to be good entertainment between two players... 😛
************************

No. If you were here, I'd have to be arguing with you about your stupid ideas, and probably fending you off with a stick again.

But, we don't even know if we actually found one.

I didn't see anything in any write-up - at all.

I didn't see samoa fess up to it. She's still obviously talking.

I had a game - just previous to dyachei's last where I introduced the idea of dead players still interacting with the game while in valhalla, where they could still talk by PM, but couldn't say anything in the open forum, and had to commune with the forum through an NPC God character. I don't know if the gorge is like that or similar . . . seems a little like it . . . but I didn't put wolves in valhalla. Maybe I should have.

I don't know what we've done so far.

I'm not complaining though - I know mod's have lives too - just saying we don't know much of anything right now.

Good questions. I don't think anyone knows, obviously.

Wolves often like to ask a lot of unanswerable questions just to be making noise in the forum . . .

If we have to lynch every wolf TWICE, assuming samoa is a wolf, then this could be a very long and tortuous game

We might have a wolf, and everyone could have had the wool pulled over their eyes. I choose to think on the positive side. If everyone's wrong then it sucks, but if not I'll have celebrated a little longer than everyone else.

Nothing to do with mods lives. Waiting for PMs to close night.

I don't give out information for the heck of it.

I was waiting for a formal lynch write up. You know . . . like the last time? Assumed one wasn't coming because you guys were busy and one would come when you were not so. Seemed like a fair assumption based on the experience so far in the game.

I wasn't asking for "heck" information. Nor was I anywhere implying that you do give out "heck" information.

I don't doubt the veracity of what the information brought to us from FH, in the sense that she and everyone else apparently corroborating it think that Samoa is a wolf. She of course could very well be, but unless I'm completely way off base, isn't everything in this game kind of not what it seems all the time? Isn't that the flavor of a SOV? I was told not to think I'd figured out a single game mechanic.

So, until there is something telling me with certainty we got a wolf, it will always be a bit unclear. That's what I'm saying.

And if we are assuming she is a wolf and in the gorge then it clearly begs to be asked do we kill them again, or assume that kind of like being dead?? I'd say we don't waste time trying to kill them again. It seems like the gorge is being "dead" in this game - they can't vote, can't do their action. And all in all will be a real villager advantage, but maybe not so much, if wolves are also allowed in there and we never know who is a wolf for sure, etc.

Bah!

JDH there is no one in this game better suited than you to find out if the gorge denizens can be killed.

I'd heavily suggest you handle samoa tonight for a whole bevy of reasons, the least of which is answering your own questions.

I was never mad to begin with... just don't think poking a stick at the mods is the thing to do, hence the calm down.. oh well, I am only an outsider looking in.

He barked at me and I barked back.

I wasn't even complaining.

Hasn't someone already tried a second attack on someone in the Gorge? Without success?

Though you're welcome to try.

LIS was attacked over there and didn't "die".

I think hitting gorge people twice is not the way to go. Of someone has an item to try they can.

anywho
just got home from my horrendous day of bumpy flights. :scared:
This game is confusing. Hopefully we'll get more clarification with the night write up

Someone just said wolves like to ask questions. 😀

Was re-going through the thread and was wondering about this message stuff. Just curious if anyone else got a message in this game so far. You don't have to share what it said but I was wondering if there are anonymous message floating around and if they hold any truth to them.

i recieved one as well. an ugly/fat insult 🙄

The fact that I seem to know how your role works more than you do (and I dont have any role power for that, this is just from plain out good thinking), leads me to this question: If you turn around will i see one of these?
normal_tail2.jpg

You're being obtuse. What do you mean?

I'll have you all know I'm having a Holy Grail Ale in the spirit of the game. 🙂

I think things are about to get shaken up. Maybe that's why SOV won't do the writeup yet.

There are many reasons not to do a write up. I give **** all if he does one or not. All I was pointing out was that we had one before. We do not have one now with this lynch. And I've got zero proof that Samoa is a wolf.

Someone just said wolves like to ask questions. 😀

The exact wording was "unanswerable questions." Clearly mine had answers.

Just trying to get people to think a little bit. Yeah there were a lot of votes to lynch me, but basically it was everyone grabbing at a statement by foxhunter that she was told I was a wolf, and a "hunch" of DocE's. which are probably both coming from the same source.

I think things are about to get shaken up. Maybe that's why SOV won't do the writeup yet.

On the chance that I'm about to get exited from the game, I'll just throw this out. For no reason other than something in her posts tweaked my radar, I'd investigate kaydubs.

After the evil committed the previous night, the villagers want their blood, and they want it quickly. They turn right to the confident Samoa, the lounge veteran, whose defense was simply "I would lynch me too." And so the villagers, smartening up, take Samoa directly to the Gorge and lynch her, and in an annoyingly familiar scene, she does not die since they are a bit of the neophyte at this lynching thing, and didn't use a counterweight. So there is poor Samoa hanging there slowly suffocating to death, instead of enjoying a nice quick end. The lynching of Samoa has a strange side effect on the villagers who had been blocked….. like a psychic laxative, they were blocked no more.

Lying around Samoa are bodies that are really starting to smell ripe. This can not be healthy. Seemingly out of nowhere this scene appears:

The cartperson of the dead has come to collect the bodies. Stopping first at the twitching body of Samoa, our friendly cartperson gives her a yank and suddenly she is gone and thrown into the cart. You have lynched Samoa, the Knights who say "Ni" who could have been back-converted to the Knights who go "Neeeow ... wum ... pin".. Thanks for playing.

The cartperson moves on to Wolfspeaker who is still coughing up water, with a small shaking of the head as if to say "silly player", the cartperson squeezes wolfspeaker's nose close, holds her hand over her mouth and watches as there are no more gasps of breath and she too is thrown in the cart. You have also lynched Wolfspeaker aka Concorde . Sleep well horsey.

Next stop is orcagirl. Orcagirl had already expired and was quickly tossed in the cart, as she was getting kind of ripe. Orcagirl aka, Sir Hector, the unworthy Knight was dead.

Finally the cartsperson comes to the last 2 bodies gasping for breath, lying side by side, supporting each other, trying to come up with new ways to torture the moderators when they played the next game LIS and Lissarae were planning. Oftentimes partners in crime, were they to be partners in death….

Lissarae pleads that "she still has life to live… that she is a baby mama, and that it is unfair she be killed so early." LIS claims "an important role" and "if he can survive 5 more vet school exams, he can survive these wounds, besides, the beer has done him some good".

The cartsperson asks if they will tell him their roles. They ask "Do we have to?". The cartsperson shrugs, and Lissarae and The LIS remain silent.

The decision is made for our (anti-)hero, as one of the two expires in front of our eyes. The cartsperson throws them in the cart.

The LIS, village witch has died, Lissarae has miraculously recovered and rejoins the world of the living, wonder what her role is?

Due to the changes.... you have 30 minutes to change your PM actions.. . 9:00 EST.

Was anyone else there bad? I haven't seen the movie in a while and don't remember those names.

I'd check but I'm on my phone with bad Internet.

Sir Hector was in the original script but his only lines were in scenes that were cut from the final product. He may or may not appear in scenes as a non-talking character, i forget.

There you go. Samoa has one of those beautiful pelts.

Now i wonder what "occurred" to have the gorge people die/live.

maybe its an every three nights sort of thing? so you have a chance to play after your death and can come back before it becomes permanent? I wouldn't put that past SOV
