I did my interview nearly two weeks ago now, still waiting to hear back. The interview itself was very casual, nothing you can really do prepare except for dress appropriately, be yourself, and demonstrate your interest in the program. Hope to hear back from them soon. Good luck!

Haha yup and I've looked at past threads and confirm that. I'm putting Linkin Park on repeat and reveling in it's angst woo, open to any other methods that help

I called the financial aid office at Columbia because I was having the same issue. It turns out that you cannot access the financial aid portal until you have gotten notification of a financial aid award via email. I'm not sure when this would happen for us, but since most other people seem to have heard about financial aid from Columbia I imagine it would be soon!

Haha I just got off the phone with them heard the same thing, thanks!! Fingers crossed we hear back soon!
 
Did anyone who got accepted to Columbia's MPH SMS department get an email from a current student? A student emailed me and is gonna call me tomorrow to talk about the program and any questions I have. Does anyone here have questions about Columbia's MPH (SMS specifically) that they'd like to know? I can ask her questions like student life, courses, practicum, etc...?

I also got an email from a student. My call is scheduled for Friday

Has anyone heard back from CUNY?? When my app was complete i got an email saying that i should get a decision by FEB 1.....getting kinda worried 🙁 (applied to HPM)

Hi there, did you get an email saying that your app was sent off for review? My story: I applied by 12/2 deadline and saw on the portal that they didn't have my GRE scores a little before xmas. I called them immediately and they said that yes, they had my scores and that the portal was incorrect, and not to worry. I called again today after seeing so many people get acceptances. They now said that they have my GRE scores but they mistakenly didn't put them in my file. It was an instantaneous fix-- I got an email saying my app was sent for review right after the phone call. A little bit of a bummer, but I'm glad things have been worked out!

So, moral of the story: check your portal and give them a call if something is missing/doesn't look right! They were very nice and helpful.

When I interviewed they said HPM would be released end of February/early March so I am trying not to panic. Very few HPM decisions have been released from what I've seen and heard so fingers crossed!!

Hi! I applied to CUNY on Feb 5th and just heard back from them with an acceptance. I wasn't expecting to hear back until March 15th (which is what they said in the original email) so I would contact them if I were you and make sure they have all the necessary materials.

Hey I applied to CUNY community health MPH concentration. I heard back 12 days ago. they are pretty slow with the review process! They told me my application was under review on Nov 24th and I should hear back by Dec 15th and I didn’t hear back until Feb 6th!

I'm not sure about how easy it is to get a RA position at UW, but will post on here if I find out.
 
Do any of the schools send acceptance packets in the mail? So far I haven't received anything aside from what's on my portals for the schools I heard back from. re: Columbia, Dartmouth, Yale, Harvard
 
Hey guys! I was recently accepted to Emory for GELPI (2/3) and was wondering if anyone has insights for how the merit scholarships are disbursed?? I see some people were already notified but I wanted to see if anyone knew how it worked; were all the merit recipients contacted at once, or is it an ongoing process? Thanks!

WOW that is a quick turn around! Its crazy b/c they sent me a confirmation email saying they received everything. Thank you!

I have access but haven’t gotten anything yet either. I was told I’d get a package in my email first

I also had access before receiving the package. When you go to the financial aid portal you have to click on “first time user” you can’t just log in using the admitted students portal login info. (Maybe you already knew that but that took me a minute to figure out the first time.)

I just got my aid package yesterday and details were in the FA portal, but I also got a status update in my admitted students portal so if you still can’t log in I’d just keep checking there.

That’s odd they’re saying you can’t login until you receive a package.
 
I’ve tried to call CUNY several times and it goes straight to voicemail...has anyone ever reached them by phone ??? Or is email better?

I actually emailed them in late Jan that my application was under review for a while and if I needed additional documentation. They responded a day or two days after!
