Just got accepted into UGA's program does anyone know any more information on the program/how it is? I could not find to much helpful info on the program and I wanted to understand more about it before really making any decision. Thanks!!
You should be getting an email from Emily Lakemaker that details how the process works. When they sent me an email, they said that they will reimburse me the specified amount. So, after Visit Emory, they should send emails with all of the instructions.
Brown-- according to the admissions people, they are no longer promising results by 4/15. I applied in October, waaaay before any deadlines, and that's what I was told last week. I'm mulling over options for dealing with this as (so long as they give me some funding) they are my top choice.Anyone have any idea about when I should expect to hear back from the following schools: Brown, USC, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, San Jose State University?

Brown let me know that I should be receiving a response by this week. Haven't most people heard from the UCs? I didn't apply so I don't really know.
Hey! I am also going to Yale and am looking for a roommate. I am female, 22, and have a 35 pound border collie. I will be studying Health Policy. I will be in New Haven for Admitted Students Day on April 3rd!Hey guys!
Just got accepted into Yale's MPH program in Social and Behavioral Sciences! I'm most likely going to Yale, but I'm looking for some potential roommates for off-campus housing. Is there anyone here who is also going and hasn't found a living arrangement?

All i found was this: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ucberkeleyoffcampushousing/Does anyone know if Berkeley and Columbia have a group for admitted students for 2017 on Facebook? I'm interested to start looking into finding housing options and just a general feel as to what the incoming class will be. Thanks in advance!
Has anyone received any scholarships from JHSPH? Just wondering if they are done releasing those. My financial aid package doesn't make it a realistic option financially but I really love the program!

They did say in an email that all of their awards had already been handed out, if I'm not mistaken. This is a good question. I don't think I've heard anything from anyone on this board about awarded scholarships at JHSPH.
Yep, same program! Good luck 🙂What program did you contact/apply to? I applied to behavioral and social health sciences so it would be awesome to hear back this week!

Someone responded to the Johns Hopkins MPH forum a couple weeks back who was actually a JHSPH applicant, and they were awarded a "merit-based grant" of some kind in their acceptance letter. The MPH students are still waiting to hear about the Bloomberg scholarship, but no one else has self identified as a Sommer or Welch Scholar. I also find it surprising that no one here numbers among them, and I had heard those awards would be going out mid March.... Unclear - Also, no one asked about it at the admitted student's day...
Sorry -- that's what I meant. He or she was an MSPH student. (I'll edit my above remark.) I would call and ask politely if I were you. If the school is not feasible for you without a scholarship, then this is information you should know to help narrow your decisions. There aren't really great opportunities to ask this sort of thing at admitted student's day unless you ask in front of the whole room. Thanks for the input! I'm in the MSPH program - not sure if that changes anything. Do you know if I should contact my department about this? Or maybe ask when I visit

Columbia does have a page but it's a closed group, by invite only. You should have received an invite. It's called the Columbia HPM admitted students 2017 page. Maybe you can request an invite from the student who conducted your interview in case you haven't already been invited.

I got accepted to Columbia for their Epi program, so I am not part of HPM.
I wish they had a group for global health too!
Hi all,
I was accepted to:
YSPH is my #1 choice because the program is such a perfect fit for what I'd like to do, but it might be impossible if they don't offer any need-based grants/scholarships. Really freaking out over here! Has anyone heard from them about finaid packages? I'm also curious about Columbia's timeline (my #2 choice). I can't seem to get an email back from their department, so I'm not sure when to expect word from them.
- Boston U (+20k merit scholarship),
- NYU (+24k merit scholarship),
- Yale, and
- Columbia.
Thanks to anyone who can offer up some info! 🙂

I think the group is for the dept of HPM, including all MPH and MHA students.
I just checked the Facebook group, and they definitely mentioned it's only for the department of HPM. As Epi is a different department, this might not be the right group. In any case, I saw that the Class of 2016 has a FB page for MPH, MHA, and Master of Science; I'm assuming that they haven't created the group for Class of 2017 yet. Will definitely confirm / post more details if I can find an answer at open house! Thanks though 🙂

When did you receive the email? Another person on the forum also mentioned that all of the scholarships had been released, except for maybe the Bloomberg Fellowship, but I never received an email. It's crazy to think that no one on here received a scholarship to the MPH program. There are some really strong applicants on this forum.
It does seem pretty crazy that no one here is getting any grant money from Hopkins... they really have not been clear about funding.

I had quite a bit of luck with Yale for need-based scholarships. I was accepted late December, filled out the financial aid app in January, and got notified of my award the last week of February (with $15k renewable need-based aid). Columbia hasn't released any packages yet, but when I met with an advisor for Admit day, she told me they had a glitch in their system to where they JUST got FAFSAs downloaded a week before. The wait is killing me too, but they seemed to be working hard to get awards finished, so I can't be too mad.
Hey! Sorry for the late response. Overall, I thought that the open house was helpful. For 2 hours, there were presentations from the director of graduate study, director of student affairs, current students, and the practicum coordinator.I was unable to attend the UCI open house yesterday and was wondering what you both, or anyone else who was there, thought of it. Any input would be greatly appreciated! 🙂 Also has anyone received financial aid info from them/was that discussed at all yesterday?
For USC, it took 2 and half months. I applied on November 25. I heard back on February 6.Anyone have any idea about when I should expect to hear back from the following schools: Brown, USC, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, San Jose State University?
