Did Columbia already send out all interview invites for the health policy program? I saw they already started interviewing this week :/

Thanks! I guess I wasn’t been selected then 🙁
I don't think everyone that gets accepted into health policy and management at columbia necessarily gets an invite to an interview. So if you weren't interviewed you still have a chance! And the holidays may mess with the timeline a bit so they may still interview after new year's so don't fret!

Has anyone applying to Emory been successful in logging into OPUS? I attempted to get my log in information 48 hours past the initial email and am still having trouble. Wondering if it is just me?
I had to reach out and resend them my social security information. I think their system has been having issues or something!

Is anyone thinking about going back to school if their experience will be online due to COVID-19? I was simply interested what everyone's thoughts were on paying for tuition and then getting stranded online!

Congrats! Did you get an email or did you check your portal? I've been checking anxiously ever since it went to "Under Review". Don't know how long they usually take
I have applied to JHU's Master in Health Administration and my application has been under review since October 11. I have been checking constantly as well and it never changed from the "Application Under Review" status

It's definitely a good question to ask the student engagement teams during Zoom sessions for accepted students or even via email to the Admissions office. My school said explicitly that they wouldn't do tuition reimbursements in the event classes have to go online at any time. The good thing is that schools have been managing the risks for more than a year now, so they have plans in place...free student testing, my school records all lectures, contact tracing and quarantine, etc. The tricky part is after winter break when all students come back to campus. I'm hoping all MPH students do their due diligence over the holidays...we are required to get our booster, so that makes me hopeful that spring won't have to go online.

I just got an notification from GWU that my SSN is incorrect or missing. However, I am 99.9% sure that I inputted the information correctly on SOPHAS and my FAFSA. Is anyone else having this issue. Sadly, I have to wait until Jan 3 to contact the office. Now I am wondering if this is going to affect my other applications at other schools.

Yes I got it too!!! I know my FAFSA was correct and I can't figure out how to check what was on my SOPHAS. I sent them an email as well

Okay, that same thing happened to me with Umich and Emory! I thought I put my SSN in wrong but now that other people are having this issue, I'm wondering if it's the SOPHAS system.

I spoke with SOPHAS last week and they said in this case, you would have to check with each school since you can't change your SSN with them after application submission apparently.

Okay. It is nice to know it is just not me. However, now I am extremely annoy because I think it is a SOPHAS issue but I do not want it to affect my application. Please keep me updated if you hear anything back!!

They told me the same thing. You probably enter everything correctly because I triple checked mine before submitting my application.

Yeah I just chatted with SOPHAS and they said there's no way to double check what SSN you entered and also that there's no way for me to request that they update my SSN before I submit to more schools which is super annoying 😕. I'm hoping we all just entered it wrong and that SOPHAS isn't sending wrong SSNs to the programs, otherwise that would be pretty bad 😆

I wonder if this is going to affect aid? It is really annoying because I am 100% sure I put the right numbers down. Now, I have to message all these schools regarding my SSN.

Yeah I'm a little worried that this will mean we might have missed the aid deadline at some schools? I'm hoping they will be understanding though!

Just got into Yale MPH Health Management!
For context: Haven’t heard back from Columbia or Harvard.
Congratulations! This is awesome! I have received a confirmation email from them about receiving my application on October 19. Have not heard back from them since. I have also applied to their MPH Health Management program, so I must have not gotten in, since they probably send out the acceptances together

I don’t think that’s the case. Yale has rolling admissions. I received an email that they received my application early November and then followed with an email that my application is in the review process couple weeks ago. They said decisions start in January and go til march!

You are probably very right! I just got worried because I had my application in the first week of October, so it would make sense if I was also getting an update right about now, but yeah I guess I will have to wait and see

Hello thank you! I applied October 16th and received an email telling me the application has been received on the 19th. Received the acceptance email on the December 22nd. I didn’t receive any other emails regarding my application in between those dates. It’s rolling admissions so hopefully you will hear back soon!

Got a interview from Dartmouth! Does anyone know what to expect? Is it from an alum or from admissions and would it be the standard interview questions? Why Dartmouth, Why MPH, what do you bring etc?

Congratulations! Did you apply to the full time on-campus program or hybrid online? I submitted for the latter on 12/1 and no word yet.

I believe folks have previously mentioned the interview being a brief, casual phone call with an alum reviewing basic questions.

I applied to the hybrid online one 🙂

hey y'all! what are the chances that a school would release my admissions decision/scholarship information early if I ask them? I have to accept or decline one of my offers by jan 31, which is before i'd hear from some schools about admissions and way before i'd hear about money

Started applying to schools in late-September. I was incredibly worried I wouldn't be accepted anywhere because of my low undergrad GPA (high upward trend though) and lack of health-related experience. I cast a very wide net because of this. Very excited with my acceptances so far. So if anyone is doubting their chances, if I can do it so can you.
