Hi Guys...another Sunday passed by and no calls 🙁 I've tried contacting the admissions office with no specific answers on what is going on with my application. In the mean time i'm going nuts just thinking about it over and over...It has been little over 2 months since my interview...no small envelopes or emails is better n e wayss...but i hope its only matter of moving list of acceptances...

n e one heard n e thing from NJMS recently??? Good or Bad??

well i was waitlisted two weeks ago after interviewing on january 22nd.

I keep telling myself it has to be because they just cant offer anyone a spot at the moment. That is to say, the class was already full.

RWJ or NJMS? (I hope the class isnt full 😡 )
 
State school tuition is sweet...
Actually, if you account all the interest accumulated over 15 years, state school is SUPER sweet... 👍
 
Wait until May 15 (or is it March?), isn't that when all of the applicants have to settle on a school? At that point, spots will open up. No class at any school is full right now.

Has anyone heard anything from NJMS?

2 months since 2nd interview and still no word. Me is afraid the seats are full and I will have to wait for someone to drop.

I wonder how many people here hold both RWJ and NJMS acceptance but know they are choosing RWJ.

I fall into that camp, but my husband's job situation just got squared away today, so I will be withdrawing from NJMS in the next day or two. Best of luck to those still waiting :luck: ... They'll be at least 1 spot open soon...

Me too! I had a great interview there and my states are above their average and then they waitlisted me. I was PISSED.😡 Still waiting on RWJ...
 
mine didn't even mention RWJ. I have a different question: did anyone else feel like their student tour guides probably didn't interview well at all? Mine were sheepish and obviously nervous. Am I that ridiculously good looking?
 
That must be it...haha. My tour guide didn't mention RWJ, but my interviewer bashed it a little. She just said that the clinical experience wouldn't be that good because New Brunswick is just a "college town"

Mine did a bit of this... I wasn't particularly impressed by that. An interviewee had asked a simple question about the 2 schools and the tourguides then launched into RWJ bashing that didn't really offer specific criticisms of RWJ or specific benefits of NJMS.

Haha, funny how that works... I think my tourguides at RWJ bashed Newark, but not NJMS itself...

The school-bashing is kinda silly cuz they're both great schools, but I guess you're bound to get that kind of competition when schools have such similar applicant pools...

it's even more silly since theyre practically the same school...

the only time rwj mentioned njms was that they play them in ping pong
 
Just got an invite for UMDNJ.

I am not certain, but I would think by now they already sent out a number of offers that equal if not exceeded the number of spaces available.

I would also think by now they have a lengthy wait list.

So...what does a march interview mean for most people?
 
I don't think anyone in this thread can really tell you what a march interview truly means at NJMS. My best guess and most honest opinion is that you're being invited to interview for the waitlist though :\. Unless your application is really stellar, then you just might be elligible for a straight up acceptance.

hey guys, i have a 33R mcat score and a 3.62 gpa, do you think i'm high up on the waitlist or do i still have a good chance of being accepted?

Your numbers should make you competitive, but as you know there's a lot more to it than that (interviews, BCPM, personal statement, ECs, etc.). But you've done all you can do so just have confidence in yourself, cross your fingers, and try not to stress too much.

I guess the one thing you can do is send up an update letter (if you have something substantive to update your file with). This also allows you to express continued interest in the school.

Do you have any other acceptances to fall back on in case NJMS does not pan out for you?

yeah i was checking to see if ya'll heard the same thing. i called and yes there is one tomorrow and they will discuss interview people from up to 6 weeks ago (like me)...so if you havent heard anything for a while post interview, the day of truth may be coming SOON :scared:

Hey guys,

i got the call from rwj last night too. She said that since they switched to a computerized system, the reviewers have been really slow (I interviewed at the end of Dec). I'm not positive yet, but I think I'm going to decline the spot. so thats another open spot...

n e news (good/bad) from NJMS?? I've been waiting way tooo long .. 3 1/2 monthsss...The wait is killing me...I wonder if n e one heard n e thing last nite 😕
 
I interviewed at UMDNJ last week. They say I would hear something by April.

With that said, my app was complete like September.

anyone have the 2007 match list? rwj is under the general "match" thread. nothing from njms yet?
