Hey yall, im planning on applying to NJMS's ED program in the upcoming cycle. Wanted to ask if anyone knew the latest I could request a consultation with the admissions dept as I am planning on taking my MCAT in June and will be receiving my score in early-mid july. I know the deadline is Aug 1st but just wanted to be safe lol. Also was wondering if anyone had a positive experiencing applying to ED without doing the consultation, or does that almost always end up in a rejection?

Applied ED this past cycle and ended up getting deferred. Still have not heard back from them with a final decision which is quite unfortunate. I believe you should definitely reach out for a consultation but mine was not very fruitful. I was told to get a slightly higher mcat score which my retake reflected. Also, felt that the interview went really well and got strong compliments from my interviewer. Honestly, could not say I'd recommend applying via the ED track. I know many people have been successful so their opinions may be more helpful but I feel committing to the school does not give you an advantage in their eyes. Also, anecdotally I have seen that only gap year applicants have been successful applying via ED but again, not fully sure.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. My stats are pretty mid so that was one of my main concerns about applying ED. Would you be open to sharing your stats? I did email asking for a consultation and they never got back to me.

I just spoke with someone at the admissions office and she said she just spoke with Dean Rivero who said we'll be hearing news within the next few days
