is the rwj alternate list split into high priority and regular? they didnt mention that at the admissions speech when we interviewed

Guys, NJMS did not request a grade update from me as far as I know. Is it mandatory? Those of you that had fall grades requested, was the request sent separate from the interview invitation?

My transcript request came about 6 weeks after my interview, sent it in e-mail did not hear back from her, finally got intouch with someone else and they asked for them again. Sent them to them again and still not a word. It's been three weeks. Don't know what the he-- is going on. Mean while I have to send a deposit in to a DO school by feb 20th.

i definitely feel you....

was that the regular alternate list or did you get high priority? im in the regular one and havent heard anyone from this year getting high priority but i went to rwj's thread from last year and they mentioned there being two lists

you can call them and ask where you stand in the list too

I'm not sure what list I'm on, but they did say that I'm in the top 1/3. Any idea about what this means?

I'm so sad right now. I wanted to be right next to my family for the next four years. 🙁

well i guess the top 1/3 would be better than the other two thirds...but do you have any acceptances anywhere else?

I'm really sorry to hear that. Fortunately, I have an acceptance to UIC and one to NJMS (I received both recently). I also have five waitlist letters from other schools.

I hope you get in! We should keep our heads up and stay concentrated... hopefully we can make something happen.

So is there a high priority list this year or not? If we get off the list, are we going to be placed in Camden?

I interviewed on Nov. 11 2006 and was accepted on Jan. 1 2007, so that puts my wait at about... seven weeks?

Thanx. I interviewed on Dec'22 and I can't seem to focus on anything untill I find out. This is my only Interview so I really hope I get in.

Between your interview date and when you recieved your decision did the school contact you for an update or did you contact the school with an update. eg. grades or research update, etc.

I sent a letter of interest to NJMS.

it took 3 1/2 months for me to get my decision, and i didnt update them with anything

perhaps thats why i was waitlisted?

Alright, I made a phone call to RWJ about the waitlist.

Apparently there is only one waitlist this year, and there is no "high priority" list. I hope that's good news for some of you!

There's the distinct possibility you're over-thinking the whole issue. Aside from the pure perfectionist/narcisist in the crowd, we all beat ourselves up after such a key event. I'm sure with the combination of the two interviews you were able to give an accurate depiction of who you are. Just relax and give it some more time.

I am in the same boat, I had my 1st interview on Nov 7th and my 2nd interview on Dec 22'. Its been a little over 6 weeks since the second interview. I feel both went well, but this wait is just painfull.
I want to finish writing my thesis but I keep thinking about whats happening with my file.

Why not from my home state!

I called them up and all they say is that my app is complete!

Why is that? Just say it : ADCOM thought my app sucked.

If you are from NJ, and live near north or central jersey. I would go and see Dr. H at NJMS. He will let you know what is going on. Do teh same with RWJ. That may get you some answers.

I agree not knowing is the worst.

Hey Everyone,

So I just started reading this forum and I thought I can help you all out a little bit... I interviewed in September for RWJ and I just heard back from them with an acceptance... therefore if you haven't heard back I wouldn't rule out an acceptance, however I would call the office to see the status of your application... they told m there was a delay in the processing of my application from the faculty that interviewed me... also I received a call at almost 7 pm for RWJ so I wouldn't stare at the phone because it will only drive you crazy waiting to hear because they really just call when they have free time to... I've received calls on Sunday nights even so you never know when it's going to happen... Good Luck to everyone!

Just interviewed at NJMS today. The admissions woman said that they'll be interviewing to mid-march probably and that she has to send out 50 interview invites next week...

I'm am definately leaning towards NJMS. I'm not sure if I will even send in a deposit for rwj. I am going to think about it for a few days, but I am pretty sure my mind is made up already. the only thing that isn't thrilling is the location of njms... but most med schools are not in the great location to begin with (wondering why i did not apply to la jolla)

You only get a 2nd interview at NJMS if they feel that they still need to know more about you as a person and that didn't happen in the 1st interview. Once you get waitlisted, I am pretty sure you just have to wait until your final decision.

Hey Sorry to hear about ur rejection at NJMS...But congrats on ur other acceptance...NJMS is my top choice and i've been reallyy scared about getting wait listed....Did u receive ur rejection this past week??
