hi there
I will like to get a list of non -match (pass) residency. Its hard to find and I need some help with this. I have an foring dental DDS, I about to get selected to Advanced Standing, but just in case of bad luck I need to be prepared this year.
The Pass sistem is a nightmare, it seams like they are interested in getting the money from you and mistakei you paper's.
if some one can give Me a list or some place to start I will appreciate.

Maybe you should start by telling us what type of program or specialty you're interested in.

I will like to get a GPR or anAEGD, in any residency but Endo.

I think you may be a bit confused. You can either do a GPR or AEGD (both of which are usually 1 year and you do all types of dentistry) or you can do a residency to specialize in endo, ortho, peds, oral sx, perio etc etc (shortest being 2 yrs).

I'm not confused, I need help with this matter please?

I think people would be glad to help if we understood your question. What do you mean by in any but endo?

Ok Borat... Hi five!!!

Any residency, I just don't want an Endodontics residency.

Sooo.....you don't know which specialty you want to do? Why do ANY specialty at all?

Make sure to tell them that in the small chance you happen to get an interview.

And without ruffling people's feathers and to be as PC as possibly, I'd suggest touching up on your english. Communication is a big part of dentistry as i'm sure you know and it's tough to get a patient's trust without smooth communication.

toofache32, I want to do a specialty in prostodontics, but I'm a realistic person, its hard to get in a specialty or a AEGD/GPR. its realy hard. The Pass/Match program its a headeik, I need some help to get a list or some please where I can get a Non-Pass/Match residency.

I'm sorry, but you ARE terribly confused. I'll tell you why.

1. You are lumping PASS and MATCH into the same grouping. They aren't the same, they are different.

2. Prosthodontics does not participate in the MATCH. GPR/AEGD programs do.

3. The vast majority of programs still require PASS applications, even if they don't participate in the MATCH. Prosth. is probably no different.

4. Prosth is NOT difficult to get into when compared to every other specialty.

5. At the end of the MATCH cycle, there are always many AEGD/GPR spots that go unfilled.

6. Regardless of PASS or MATCH being a headache, it doesn't matter at this point in time. You've missed most of the deadlines for programs in PASS or MATCH. For example, there are about 15 Prostho programs that use the PASS system, and the deadlines for all but one have passed. You can't apply to any of those.

Therefore, your choices at this time are to find Prostho programs that are non-PASS or GPR/AEGD programs that are non-match AND non-PASS. Or, you could just attend the advanced standing program that you said you are entering.

thanks for the information, now its there a list of those opportunitys for Non- Pass non-Mach programs?

No. The Prosth. association website may have a list of all prostho programs, but my guess is that there nearly all of them accept applications through PASS and that their deadlines have expired.

There certainly are non-pass/non-match AEGD programs, but there isn't any simple way to get a list of those programs.

That's true there is no easy way to find the list of the programs doesn't participate in PASS/MATCH. But there is a work around.
1) Go to ADA Website
http://www.ada.org/prof/ed/programs/search_advanced_us.asp
Search here for all the accredited programs in your speciality of interest.
2) Then go to PASS website. http://www.adea.org/DAS/PASS/default.htm
Use the search engine to find the programs participating in PASS.
3) Subtract PASS list form ADA list and you will know what programs doesn't participate in PASS. Do the same thing for MATCH too.
