Shut up! (Just kidding). I am just a little annoyed. I don't want to screw it up with the other schools that have deposits due the 14th....thats all, and when that deposit is in....all this hoop jumping and paper pushing is over!!

Are you pressed by any other schools for a decision (ie a Dec 14th deadline for deposit?) You should let them know if you are and they will tell you over the phone or email is good because you have a paper trail.

As of now, I have been waitlisted by two schools. I don't really have a good excuse to bother them for the decision... other than to maintain my mental health.

Mine came today. I'm in California. Interviewed 11/25, Accepted 11/26. I was told the packets were mailed out December 1st and December 2nd.

Thats exactly what I remember the students who gave the tour told me too.

For any medical student there currently, don't we also get access 24/7 to practice questions similar to the boards via a kaplan website starting on the first day that we begin?

Why are you so inadequate? Why, when Ellen even gives me a tracking # to check on the packet, are you completely unable to help me??? And why when I call you to find out why your stupid website is useless, do you put me on hold, then pick up and immediately say "our system is down, please call again later, (repeat) then click". I called once and it sounded like a student that they just stuck there on work-study. I liked the intense security question involved in getting my password and what not. "Hi. I forgot my password and was wondering if I could get it" "Ok. What's your name?" *replied with my name* "Your password is _____. Have a nice day"

As an ex-IT person and (whitehat) hacker...that scares the hell out of me.

Hmmm i interviewed on the 20th as well and I received my snail mail letter on Friday, Dec. 5th... And yes I did have to sign for it. I don't know what to tell you to do. Wait a few more days then send Ellen an email or call.

Btw who were you? I had the charcoal/brown suit with the pleated skirt.

So, out of you that are deadset on going to NSU, how many are planning on moving down early to settle in and what not? I just assume that I'm going to be down there now and will probably move down around the end of May when my lease runs out. It'd be cool to kind of hang out and what not before hand. I'll probably be working, sailing, fishing, going to the gym and practicing guitar the entire time. You know, if anyone wants to join for any of those. 😉

I obviously never received any info and interview on friday. I fly out tomorrow night so I need to know by then. I've tried emailing and calling numerous times unsuccessfully. Thanks!

On my interview day I had to be there at 8:45am. The day lasts until about 2:30pm. Its starts with introductory information then it breaks into two groups. One group tours while the other interviews, then, at about 11 I think, it switches. After the interviews is the lunch with the current students. After lunch, campus tour (very nice!) and then you come back and talk to the dean (or someone else if the dean isn't there). Thats basically it! Here is the address:

I thought I'd suggest hotwire.com as a good way to book a cheap hotel. I stayed at an Extended Stay America (for just one night...) for $40. It was about a 5 minute drive north of the school so this will probably only work for folks who have access to cars. But if you're planning to spend a few days in town, I'd think you could save a lot of dough.

For those who don't know, the trick to hotwire is that you actually book the hotel without knowing its name. They tell you a star rating and describe the amenities and location. After you pay, you are told the actual name of the hotel. This worked out just fine for me.

I too interviewed on 11/18 and was "provisionally accepted". I have not received my acceptance packet yet. I live in Philly. I called the admissions office and they were not very helpful. I am unable to get a hold of Ellen. I wish I had the tracking number for the USPS mail. This is very frustrating!

Did any of you receive an email from NSU saying that you were accepted? I did not. But Linda(?) at the admissions office said that I should have. This whole thing worries me....

I never received an acceptance email. I did eventually receive the package, which took awhile to come(I live in FL).
