It is definitely not the only important thing. And I’m just overall incredibly disappointed of course. But it’s just not possible to see the interview dates being sent 2 days after the applications close and not question the fact it’s not possible to review applications on or close to

I know the program director at my school actually waits until the deadline day to review all the applications because he believes it’s only fair that way. Your director is a good person for that. But it’s also apparent based on many interview dates being sent within just a few days that many programs don’t. And overall, yes it’s just a little disappointing so I hope the rest of these next 2 weeks is better.

I hear you. Just know that there are some of us who did apply early and are continually disappointed also, right there with you!

I have heard they do a rolling basis but I don't know for sure. this is their first year doing match so they might be doing things a little differently that other programs?

They are most likely to extend a courtesy interview to their own students because I heard that one spot usually goes to their own students/alumni. However, there is a possibility that they do not extend it to every of its student/alumni if there are too many students applying that cycle is what I am assuming.

Schools like Columbia and penn have a whole separate day to interview the people who apply from their school because they usually have 30-40 people per class apply for ortho. But not all schools do courtesy interviews. It’s just program dependent.

Hi everyone! Is anyone with interview + social dates on October 9th and 10th for Tufts willing to switch with me? Mine are on the 7th and 8th. Please dm me🙏🏼
 
Does this cycle have a longer turnaround for the interview invites? I called NYU and a few other programs, and the administrative staff were saying that the interview invites will be sent in the first week of October. This is just the interview invites and not the official interview dates. But that means interviews for some programs will be towards the end of October or even early November. I was under the assumption that most programs should be done with interviews by end of October as programs and students should be ranking each other towards end of October. It may be due to competitiveness or more applicants applying this cycle, but it just feels like it is taking forever.

I got a call from the UOP as well. I wanted to verify the social as I heard the interview dates were 10/13 or 10/14, but the phone cut off a bit for when he was saying the social was. It seemed that he said the social will be on 10/12, but he said he will send an email for more detail.

Hey guys! Is there a thread for interview questions asked for orthodontics interviews like there was for dental school?
I was wondering if someone can reach otu to me for insight on how to prepare of UIC interview any advice would greatly be appreciated :happy:

I know many people who have been accepted without any research experience, normally at the top of their class.
