It's worse if you're on a visa. Apply to private schools with large class sizes. Try to visit as many programs personally as you can.
Do those large programs have certain slots assigned to international? I've seen some UPENN incoming class photos and seems to be some reserved spots for those in Saudi Arabia? Same for NYU?

I ain’t saying she’s a gold digger, but she ain’t dancing with no <low income countries or rural underserved areas>…

I think Penn has a collaboration with Saudi Arabia and the students are all 5‑year DScD students.
 
i know it's not endo related, but i know Indiana really likes Arab students and Denver really prefers Indians, someone who mingled with the inner staff told me this.
