I'm kind of curious as well. IMG, US Citizen. My program director is taking his time writing my letter and I have one more that I'm still waiting on so I don't expect any interviews yet but it's really damn frustrating waiting. Plus the extra time it takes ERAS to "make the letter available", whatever that means. Driving me up the wall.

Everyone kept telling me "it's OK if you don't apply right on the 15th. You can wait a week or two". Well, I didn't want to but my program director took a vacation between mid July to mid June and wouldn't meet with anyone til the 20th and that was like pulling teeth to get; everyone's letters are late and seeing the number of interviews that are here makes me think I've been lied to.

I applied to EVERY program. All of them. Every single one. Like 140 or so.

So if one has ongoing research that is expected to have preliminary data (if not a fully completed manuscript for submission) around the time of interview, the proper strategy is to bring that data to the interview to share and discuss? Perhaps it is up to the PI of the project as it may harbor rivals to get inspired? What is best strategy? (Of course asking the PI for permission to do that before doing so would be important)

Hey! Carib grad here. I spoke with one of my friends also from a Carib school from last year who matched PCCM (got >15 interviews). He told me he didn't get ANY interviews until August. Some programs have just started downloading applications so sit tight. I'm waiting too!

Same here. I didn't get any invite yet. My colleagues who matched last year had 3-4 invites at this time. Lets hope that all programs are late inviting. Keep the positive spirit up !

Well at three programs I have had verbal assurances from my letter writers (who know the respective PDs well) that they will eventually offer an interview to me and the invites have not come around. So unless I am way off base here, I do know that at least three programs may be sending out later invites.

The feeling is mutual. I think programs are late this year.. most top tier programs have sent IVs. but others haven't yet.
