Since I just got my acceptance call, and OSU is the only school I applied to, I think I will most definitely be attending. 😉

Just thought I would open up this thread so those of us who choose OSU can meet our fellow classmates!!! :soexcited:
 
Congrats causticus! I'm still waiting on THE call. Hopefully I'll be joining you as apart of the C/O 2014 in the near future 🙂
 
Congrats Causticus! Me too! I just got the phone call this morning I couldn't believe it. I went to check my status right away and it changed too. Those of you still waiting it seems like the phone calls are going out this week. Hang in there I know how you feel.
 
I haven't received a call yet but on my status page is says decision and under required items it says Vet Med Admission condition - complete microbiology (initiated) does anyone know what this means?

I got the acceptance call this morning! Congrats to everyone else that got in!! I will definitely be going to OSU and I can't wait to meet everyone!

Im from OOS and pretty sure Im going to OSU, I loved it!
 
I received my call but my status hasn't changed. Anyone else?
I hope they didn't call the wrong person. That would suck.
 
I called earlier today. They said that the call can come before status change. No worries 🙂 congrats!

thats what mine said when i was accepted! i would call them.. thats what i did and asked that i wanted to know either way what the 'decision' was 😀

Wow, I almost wish I hadn't read that. I was resigned to the fact that I would most likely be an alternate at best and now I'm getting my hopes up again. 🙁

I did call and I am accepted!! I can't believe it. Congrats to everyone and good luck for those who are still waiting. Can't wait to meet my future classmates!!

You're not alone luplodw... no change/no call. When I called earlier they said that they would be reviewing many applicants today AND tomorrow. I haven't given up on today yet, but here's to tomorrow...
 
Congrats Buckeye1206! Now that you're a future veterinarian you have a little pull around there. How's about giving them a little call to put in a good word for the rest of us sdners lol....jk 🙂
 
I feel more nervous now than I did before my interview. I have a feeling i'm about to throw up haha. I just want to know!! I'm so tired of waiting. I'm praying I at least get on the waitlist. :xf:

I'm seriously losing it! I've had my phone by me all day and freak out every time it rings. I've been on SDN WAAAYY too much and I think I've checked my status page at least 10 times!! Pretty sure I'm not going to sleep tonight either. I wish they would call me!!!!!!!!!! I want to Join this thread sooo bad lol
 
I missed their call this morning and the voicemail did not say what it was about....then I couldn't reach April in the office...that was the longest half hour of my life (waiting for her to return my call)!! I cannot believe I got accepted! FINALLY! :soexcited:

Btw, my status page still says AcadReview.
 
Same here. I have pretty much refreshed this page/my status page every 10 minutes alllllll day. I'm probably gonna lose it. I do wonder how many IS/OOS were accepted today. It looks like more IS than OOS, but that's just those who posted on sdn and doesn't lend much hope considering the number of IS spots vs. the number of OOS spots...

Congrats all! So glad people are starting to hear good news! I'll be joining you guys too since OSU is the only place I applied to. I cannot wait to start vet school and meet everyone!!!

I have that complete:microbiology as well, and I just sent my transcript in from last semester in which I did indeed complete microbiology. Is that the case for you guys who have that, or did you finish micro before this past semester?
Not completely sure if I'm taking the OSU bait yet, I'm a PA native so I'd like to go to penn (no interview there yet), but I was really impressed with OSU at the interview, so who knows...

Yayyy for my possibly future classmates (still waiting on like 4 other schools). Congrats everyone! And just fyi, I emailed admissions after I got in in December about fall transcripts and you don't need to send them in. You only need to send in all completed undergraduate coursework by July. Congrats again, what an exciting day! 🙂
 
I checked my status one last time at 4:50 and it said decision. I wanted to Know TODAY so I called to see what the decision was and I'm accepted!!!!!

It's too late to call now but my status finally changed... nothing new under "required items" though. That doesn't bode well. 🙁
 
Maybe they don't need anything from you? Have you done all the pre-reqs?

Mine's still AcadReview 🙁
 
No - I have all my pre-reqs completed. However I thought that even if that was the case there would still be something under required items about an admissions deposit or something??
Is that not the case? Anyone else get accepted with no additional items under the "required" section?

Sorry - obviously I'm anxious. It's gonna be a long night.
 
It is official, I am rad.
I got the call this morning and have been calling pretty much everyone I know ever since. My wonderful boyfriend took me out to dinner, today is the best day. I was super worried about my chances since I am OOS, but I made it! I still have to wait on two other schools, but I am 99% sure that I will be going to OSU. 😀
 
Under the status page mine says "VetmedDeposit"...does this mean I'm in???? Or waitlisted?
 
Okay so I just checked my status page again and now I DO have "VetMedDeposit" and Professional Career Accept Fee" listed under required items.

I'm not squealing yet... I refuse to. But I'm very hopeful that this means either acceptance or waitlist. 🙂
 
I'd think "Professional Career Accept Fee" means you're pretty golden.

Actually, any required fees/deposits on your status page should mean that you're in (especially if it also says 'decision')!!! There is no fee/deposit required for someone on a wait list...trust me, I'd know (I'm a wait list survivor). Crossing my fingers for ya!

There was someone previously that had 'Decision' with no requirements below it. So I guess those that weren't called are waitlisted/rejected now? I'd assume they'd have to accept everyone they were going to accept before they could have the point value to make the wait list cut offs.

I was really expecting all the spots to be filled by now, and obviously I was wrong... so I'm still praying for you guys too!
 
Accepted!!! Time for me to go party!!! (aka sleep for an interview tomorrow haha)
 
i CANNOT believe i got in to this school...my first interview and I LOVED IT. im out of state so i was 99% sure that i didnt get in when i didnt receive a phone call within a couple days of the interview. i still have a couple more interviews but i have a gut feeling that ill end up at osu.

...does anyone else want to start like right now?

I have a fairly similar story to you.. and we're both from upstate NY it seems, haha.
Went to OSU for my first interview of the cycle and totally fell in love. I want to go to my other interviews, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up at Ohio! Can't wait!

Go read their "1st Year Survival Guide" (under the incoming class link)... sooooo much good info in there. 🙂
 
I got my acceptance call on 12/23 - best Christmas present ever!! I have an interview at VMRCVM and waiting to hear from UPenn where I'm IS, but I'm kinda sorta leaning toward OSU - the IS residency after the first year made my wallet do happy dances...

As excited as I am and as long as I've been working toward this...no I don't want to start right now. Do you realize this is the last free time we're going to have for the next 4.5 years?? 😱 So many things I want to do before September!! 😎
 
Did anyone receive their official letter/big envelope from OSU yet?
