Oklahoma C/O 2025 Hopefuls

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
OOS (I think? Long story) 2nd time applicant! i miss Stillwater and have friends there currently! Fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

OOS 2nd time applicant but 1st time at Oklahoma! Had a doctor I work for recommend this school to me because she absolutely loved it!

I'm an OOS 1st time applicant, really hoping for Oklahoma ^^

4th year Oklahoma State student here (c/o 21) I’m crazy busy in clinics, but I can try to answer any questions y’all might have. I do love my school!’

I mean, I don’t think late January is that late for first round of acceptances for OOS! Especially since like half of December and some of January, the school is closed on holiday. The waiting definitely sucks, but it’s not much different- especially compared to schools that make you interview.
Do they send more than one round/wave of acceptances?

Oh you are absolutely right! I'm just stressing 😆

Hmm yes and no.

they send their one initial big wave of acceptances, and that’s typically all they do until April 15 (the official day). Then they send them off the waitlist in another smaller wave, and then throughout the next couple of months it’s much much smaller waves/ just one at a time as the class continues to change

Does anyone know if Oklahoma will confirm when they have received our official or unofficial transcripts?

Do you know if their waitlist is in a particular order, or varies depending on the individuals that accept/decline? The wording on their website had me wondering.

They have the waitlist in a particular order! They won’t tell you what number you are, but it’s numbered.

Oklahoma is now the only school I'm waiting for, definitely stressing. I'm also wondering if there's a way to confirm receipt of our fall transcripts?

I have not. I may be confused with a different email, but we were suppose to hear by 12/30, right?
This is the last email I received on 12/02/2020

Has anyone heard or read about how heavily they are weighing the Casper test? Does anyone know how they weigh the GRE scores? Is it something they barely consider or do they put a good portion of weight there?

I know it’s a 70/30 quantitative/qualitative
What? Is that some new requirement? I’ve never even heard of that test before
it’s an evil new test that med schools have been using for a while. It sort of mimics a 12 part MMI, but answers are typed. You can only take it once per cycle and are not permitted to see your score

It’s actually not that horrible, and schools may still gathering data on it and not weighing it heavily in admissions yet

It is new, at least for OK as far as I know. SpiderPony explained it really well. I felt I did good on it, and I did pretty well on my GRE as well. My GPAs are pretty low but on a strong upward trend with heavy loads, so I've really been trying to find a detailed breakdown of how each item is weighed, but haven't found a lot. 70/30 definitely gives some perspective, probably shouldn't get my hopes up. I'm also wondering if they're not really considering the Casper and are just doing like you said, SpiderPony, gaining info on it.
