Hi all,

Our non-categorical had to leave for personal reasons, so we are searching for someone to join us at Yale. We have a great program and group of residents; we'd love to tell you more about it! Please see the details below and reach out with any questions or interest. Thanks!

1 Year GPR PGY-2 position with oral surgery concentration available at Yale for 2026-2027:

Yale Oral Maxillofacial Surgery is offering a 1 year internship with a concentration in oral surgery. Due to accrediations for the position, there is a mandatory prerequisite of completion of a 1 year CODA accredited GPR program. This position will act as a first year OMS resident, working in the OMS clinic, in the OR and participating in taking call. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in OMS and to associate with many of our faculty who are national leaders in OMS and have connections throughout the country and can help you in achieving your goal to match as a categorical resident at an OMS program.

Benefits include:
- PGY-2 Salary at Yale which is estimated to be over $90,000 for 2026-2027
- Excellent training in dentoalveolar OMS and exposure to full scope OMS
- Close proximity to Boston, NYC for easy weekend trips
- Great resident culture. The 1st year and non-categorical residents are not treated any differently and are valuable members of the team.
- Manageable call schedule. While we get plenty of experience to be well trained, we have an excellent GPR program that covers the majority of the tooth calls that come into the ED which significantly lightens the load on the non-trauma call weeks.

If you have completed (or will complete prior to July 2026) a 1 year CODA accredited GPR and are interested in this position, please reach out to [email protected] for steps on applying. Thank you!
is it still open ?
