It just says by the 28thDid they say definitely Friday or could it be sooner?
Emails started to come out between 7-8am last yearrefreshing my email every chance I get but I am thinking whatever day it is it will be earlier in the morning
last year no rejections after interviews but who knows, things can changeDo we know if it's acceptances and waitlists only? Or are rejections likely?
hoping the fact that they have an interview waitlist means that they are heavily considering you after the interview but we have no idea ā¦.. fingers crossed !!Do we know if it's acceptances and waitlists only? Or are rejections likely?
OOSAre the majority of you IS or OOS? I am OOS and starting to be scared of the pricing/loans and I haven't even gotten into the school yetš
How are you weighing PennVet against your IS school?

My in state is Rowan so I would rather go to Penn bc itās a rlly rlly good established schoolHow are you weighing PennVet against your IS school?
Oh LOL I'm so sorry (no offense Rowan). Did they take away NJ contracted seats elsewhere because of it opening? My in state is Rowan so I would rather go to Penn bc itās a rlly rlly good established school
There are no NJ contracted seats. Iām also from NJ.Oh LOL I'm so sorry (no offense Rowan). Did they take away NJ contracted seats elsewhere because of it opening?
If I had an established IS school, I would not spend a lot more money to go to an OOS school if I were given an IS acceptance. I think I just replied to you on another thread (lol sorry for the rapid-fire replies) but I think you said you got into UGA. Congrats, thatās an excellent school and I wouldnāt pay expensive OOS tuition and moving expenses with an option like that. How are you weighing PennVet against your IS school?

OOS and penn is my top choice and only school that hasnāt waitlisted/ rejected me so I would very likely take the seat given the opportunity. I like their program/ location (they were my first choice even before being one of my last options)Are the majority of you IS or OOS? Thank you guys so much for your congrats and help! I am just in love with Philly and the New Bolton Center, and went OOS for undergrad, so I don't have a strong connection with UGA. All that being said, I think you guys are 100% correct and it would be dumb of me to spend money like that for a very similar education/experience.If I had an established IS school, I would not spend a lot more money to go to an OOS school if I were given an IS acceptance. Penn's IS being 60,000+ is š .....like give me a breakI am IS and Penn is the most expensive school I applied to
1 no, 2 no, 3 no. You are saying exactly what I need to hear šDonāt get me wrong - I LOVE Philadelphia. Worked in the city for 5 years. One of my favorite places on earth.
But I would not pay the extra money for an āexperienceā unless I could: pay a significant amount of tuition without loans, didnāt need to take anything above tuition, and/or got an insane recruitment scholarship.
I heard they give a lot of scholarships ISPenn's IS being 60,000+ is š .....like give me a break
this š„± again- i wish i could share the stories iāve heard from the first year but iām not that kinda personPenn's IS being 60,000+ is š .....like give me a break
my friends currently attend, the most they received was $1,000-$5,000I heard they give a lot of scholarships IS
Thereās also some really decent neighborhoods with reasonable rent and a very short commute via public transit!!!I would also recommend if moving to Philadelphia, take advantage of the public transportation!! University city where the vet school is, has very expensive apartments. I go to Drexel University as an undergrad and I live far off campus and commute to save money.
Iām OOS and Iāve started to think about that too nowš«£Are the majority of you IS or OOS? I am OOS and starting to be scared of the pricing/loans and I haven't even gotten into the school yetš
Free housing in Rittenhouse square area. Could lower cost by 20k per year.1 no, 2 no, 3 no. You are saying exactly what I need to hear š
I donāt understand, can you please explain?Free housing in Rittenhouse square area. Could lower cost by 20k per year.
My daughter, if she is lucky enough to get accepted to UPenn, could live with my sister. šI donāt understand, can you please explain?
There are other ways to get to go to New Bolton other than being a student here! Historically we take academic externship students for certain rotations, we didnāt take any this year due to the major transition to 2 classes in clinics at the same time but going forward Iām sure theyāll offer that again, just in a smaller capacity. Also, our AAEP student chapter, as well as those at other schools, will offer wetlab opportunities to other chapters if there is room/its going on over several days. And if those opportunities donāt work out there is always internships/residencies if thatās what your looking for. New Bolton is great, but itās not worth going into debt for. Youāll get a great education at UGA for like a fourth of the cost.Thank you guys so much for your congrats and help!
