Do we know if it's acceptances and waitlists only? Or are rejections likely?

hoping the fact that they have an interview waitlist means that they are heavily considering you after the interview but we have no idea ….. fingers crossed !!

Are the majority of you IS or OOS? I am OOS and starting to be scared of the pricing/loans and I haven't even gotten into the school yet😭

My in state is Rowan so I would rather go to Penn bc it’s a rlly rlly good established school
Oh LOL I'm so sorry (no offense Rowan). Did they take away NJ contracted seats elsewhere because of it opening?

How are you weighing PennVet against your IS school?
If I had an established IS school, I would not spend a lot more money to go to an OOS school if I were given an IS acceptance. I think I just replied to you on another thread (lol sorry for the rapid-fire replies) but I think you said you got into UGA. Congrats, that’s an excellent school and I wouldn’t pay expensive OOS tuition and moving expenses with an option like that.

OOS and penn is my top choice and only school that hasn’t waitlisted/ rejected me so I would very likely take the seat given the opportunity. I like their program/ location (they were my first choice even before being one of my last options)

Thank you guys so much for your congrats and help! I am just in love with Philly and the New Bolton Center, and went OOS for undergrad, so I don't have a strong connection with UGA. All that being said, I think you guys are 100% correct and it would be dumb of me to spend money like that for a very similar education/experience.

Don’t get me wrong - I LOVE Philadelphia. Worked in the city for 5 years. One of my favorite places on earth.

But I would not pay the extra money for an ā€œexperienceā€ unless I could: pay a significant amount of tuition without loans, didn’t need to take anything above tuition, and/or got an insane recruitment scholarship.

1 no, 2 no, 3 no. You are saying exactly what I need to hear 😭

I would also recommend if moving to Philadelphia, take advantage of the public transportation!! University city where the vet school is, has very expensive apartments. I go to Drexel University as an undergrad and I live far off campus and commute to save money.

Penn's IS being 60,000+ is šŸ’€ .....like give me a break
this 🄱 again- i wish i could share the stories i’ve heard from the first year but i’m not that kinda person

There’s also some really decent neighborhoods with reasonable rent and a very short commute via public transit!!!

ETA: realized you said far off campus and I read that as outside of the city. My bad!

Do they send all rejections acceptances and waitlists at once or throughout the day

I’m OOS and I’ve started to think about that too now🫣

There are other ways to get to go to New Bolton other than being a student here! Historically we take academic externship students for certain rotations, we didn’t take any this year due to the major transition to 2 classes in clinics at the same time but going forward I’m sure they’ll offer that again, just in a smaller capacity. Also, our AAEP student chapter, as well as those at other schools, will offer wetlab opportunities to other chapters if there is room/its going on over several days. And if those opportunities don’t work out there is always internships/residencies if that’s what your looking for. New Bolton is great, but it’s not worth going into debt for. You’ll get a great education at UGA for like a fourth of the cost.

I feel in my gut that it's tomorrow morning (this is based on nothing but vibes)
