My letters were sent via virtual evals on 7/15. I guess I will count it as 7/21

I'm getting really sick and tired of how aggressive people on this site are. If you see someone asking a question that has been asked before, do you really have to write back a snarky reply? Would you be that mean to a complete stranger in real life? Just ignore it and move along. You don't have to voice every thought that pops into your head, especially unkind ones.

Regardless of whether you think he sounds like a "tool" or not, if you're rude to random people on the internet you're in the wrong.

Anyone with letters in Virtual Evaluations needs to tell them it is there, apparently they do not send to the school. Just send them an email, my friend had her letters in her file within a week after telling them to look there.

I got an email saying my letters (which are from VE) had been received but would need to be reviewed for completeness. Do you think I should still follow up with them?

I just emailed very sugar coated and was like mine are VE .. they were uploaded July 14, 2014. They sent back a quick reply that they would look the next time they downloaded the VE. annoying because they should have been added to my file by now as other VE people are up. yay they finally uploaded my VE letters onto the portal! FINALLY! haha - now just waiting on them to cash my application fee check 🙂

I have a question, does anyone have the wrong MCAT date listed in their application summary? It says my test date is May 1, 2014, but I took the exam on May 8th....😵

Not sure if other ppl have figured this out (I suspect they have so don't attack me), but I got this email from PCOM today when I emailed to ask if they've gotten my LOR:

"We need to know it is there so we can retrieve the letters. VE does NOT send them automatically to us. I will let my staff know to check the next time they go in which will be Tuesday."

So email them (don't call because you'll get a grouchy lady who won't tell you anything). I wish I had known this!

You can check it once you receive an email from them saying they received your secondary. Mine took about 3-4 days from when I submitted my secondary. Then that email has a link, a username, and PIN to check your status!

I never got that? I submitted my secondary, letters (via Interfolio), and mailed my check on July 25th... I never received any sort of confirmation from the school that they even got my secondary.

You will get instructions after they work your supplemental. You can log in and check to see what of your stuff is there. I checked for my MCAT too. They told me their system only picks up month and year and defaults to the 1st all the time and only picks up the oldest score. She told me if AACOMAS reported multiple scores they would have them. I would go ahead and email them to check in. It took only about 5 days total for me to send in my secondary and then receive the email saying that they had received my secondary application and would be reviewing it and marking it as complete within the next 15 days!

Definitely email though. It sounds like from another poster above that you don't get much information over the phone.

When you sent in your check, did you insert your PCOM ID and also print out the email? If I were you, I would e-mail them early on Monday morning. Sorry, I had earlier stated 15 days, but its better to just email them in the morning so its the first things they see on Monday!

Indeed I did. It is one of my top schools so needless to say I definitely made sure to really read the instructions thoroughly.

They do say 15 business days and they are probably going to take all that time from now until March. I think they prefer emails so they can respond anytime and then we are not interrupting them with a phone call.

Just take into account that PCOM gets the most applications out of any DO school, and it keeps rising every year. The year before last it was around ~7k applications and last year it was 8,300.

"1. Noting the mission and objectives of the Osteopathic profession and PCOM, please describe your personal characteristics that demonstrate your interest in this field. Include an example of an event in which your actions directly influenced the life of another person and relate this to your goal of becoming a DO. (250 words)"

They finally fixed the score date next to my MCAT in the Notes Section of the Status webpage. Everything is in. Not to wait for interview invites. I wonder how long it will take. They did get the secondary in earlier than usual.

Check out this site, it said if your letters are in virtual eval you need to tell them and if they got your letters before they got your app you may need to send them in again.

I sent mine via Interfolio before the app came out (my mistake) and I emailed them to let them know to look for them from that specific date.

Looks like interviews didn't start going out until September 17 last year, so we have quite a while

I just came over here to panic about my letters like everyone else.

I sent them via interfolio two days ago. The portal is only showing ONE additional letter and none of my required letters have been received. I sent them five letters.

I'm hoping that they received the group of them but just haven't gotten around to classifying them yet? Anyone have a similar experience?

Ah I feel the SAME WAY! I paid $8 for priority mail express/tracking/insurance because of many negative experiences with USPS 🙁
