More wrinkles, a lot more sleepless nights, and the basic premise of the tests. What is the difference between step II and step III?

Hope you don't have to keep them all at your place too.
Now to wait for the results.
So, anyone else who took it not have any clue how frequently to have the "well physical" followups actually follow up? One of them I dragged out to 60 odd days because I kept telling them to come back in a couple weeks before I finally said "come back when you need me". Instant end.
The ED ones were easy.
sitting throug the lectures these past few days, reminds me how much i love clinical medicine, and how little i'm cutt out to be a basic scientist.
A couple days and the whole graduation debacle will be over. Can't wait. Wish I could just hang out with my classmates and skip the rest of the stuff.
From what I have learned in my lowly 2 years (and personal experience for several years), well physical follow-ups are once a year ideally. Of course, I'm sure you know pt compliance on that one. Women are better at it than men, esp if they want their birth control.
I had a small-group discussion with an OB/Gyn yesterday, and she said that she thought men should have to go through Pap smears. Then she repeated herself 3 times. It's going to take her a long long time to find the cervix on those exams.
These are both good answers.
I thought she either wanted a test for the same disease in men (swab men for HPV) or she wanted a similar exam in men, and the disease you tested for was irrelevant (prostate?).
I think she meant the latter because she wanted men to be more empathetic. Or she wanted to punish men. 😱
Nah, hopefully she was talking about rectal swabs for HPV, since it is indicated for the majority of anal cancers, and 50% of oral cancers in men now. Pretty soon they'll be taking the vaccine as well.I'm guessing empathetic effect, but I'm pretty sure without the same anatomy, it would be pretty hard to do the "same" exam on guys. If the subject was on STDs, then maybe she meant guys should come in once a year like females do. And if neither of these apply, maybe it came from the stereotype OB/GYN (bitter.... because they should have done EM)
I passed my cumulative! Now I have motivation to study for boards...because I have nothing better to do. Well, besides post here.
congrats!!!
thanks!

Party at my house in June. Everyone is invited.
Are you moving to a new apt? For some reason, I was under the impression you weren't going too far from where you were/are, but I may have assumed this.
i am moving into a new apartment... it's going to be the first time i've lived alone in 5 years 🙁🙁 i am not looking forward to it... i'm going to miss my roommate... plus she has custody of "pride and prejudice" and sense and sensibility" in the divorce battle

Congrats to everyone on:
1) passing their boards+
2) graduating from preclinicals to the wards+
3) graduating and becoming newly-minted doctors 😱 +
4) getting job offers and getting ready to become attendings!+ 😀
It's heartening that we're all part of this constant cycle in medicine...I can almost hear "The Circle of Life" playing from Lion King at this point.
