Roseman University Class of 2025 Interview/Acceptance Thread

Did I understand correctly that the incoming class this year will not be eligible for the 3 year program if the school gets approval for it in March? Because we’ve already committed to the four year program?
They’re moving towards a 3year program? Did they say when that would start? Did they address how it would work out in the clinic with the D4 students (from the 4year program) and D3 (from the 3year program) classes all in their last year? Patient access? Clinic chairs? Etc...

They said that if the 3-year program is approved (which it hasn't been yet), that only the classes that start when the program has been implemented ill be affected by this change. So, for this years entering class and those that are current students there right now, they wont be affected by it, and will be continuing the 4-year program until they graduate.

does anyone have any advice or tips for the interview? thanks in advance!

Hey! How long does the interview last? And what does the group discussion thing consist of? Is this a group interview??

Has anyone been or heard of anyone that has been accepted off of the waitlist?

Has anyone written a thank you email for the interview? One person told me they weren’t receptive to that. Is that true? What about a letter (email) of intent?

I did. I don't see how a simple thank you is harmful. I didn't get a response, but i wasn't expecting one either. Just make sure its a genuine thank you and not one that seems like you're trying to score brownie points

Who did you write it to? (Interviewer or admissions office?)

got an interview invite. I am told to select preferred date from available days but there is only one available date which is next week...

Do you mind if I ask you how long did the process take from the time when they started reviewing your application until they sent you the interview invitation?

It was Tuesday 1/19 when I received an “under review” email and Thursday 1/21 when I was invited for an interview for next week.

Thank you so much for sharing. That is awesome that you got an interview after two days of reviewing. Good luck :)
I received the review email on the 19th as well but I haven't gotten anything yet.

Of course and thank you! I had just gotten my academic update approved the day or two before so that might have helped push mine forward. I hope you get one soon too!

Same! My last piece of application, LOR was sent on 10/13. Just received an email from Roseman that it is now under review. So I am assuming all the OCT applicants' applications are ready to be reviewed by the admins!

I sent mine in at end of July and received the email today, I think this might’ve been sent to every applicant

I never think of anything fascinating when I get emails anymore XD. I assume they are always everyone to save myself the heartache lol.

Or I am burned by the stupid "youre still under continued review" emails and not hearing back yet XD

I received one of those "under review" emails and a few days later got an interview. Keep in mind though, there were 50 people + in my interview, seems like Roseman interviews a LOT of people for not that many spots

I noticed lots of expensive private (other than like the prestigious Columbia and UPenn schools) interview many candidates because they know people will decline based on tuition if they get into their state schools. But who knows. I think it is magic hocus-pocus now. Just wait it out and eat all the snacks in the meantime lol

When I interviewed in November, there were about 60 people who had interviews. I also got waitlisted Dec 15, so we’ll see. It does seem like they interview A LOT of students.

do you think it will be more this year because their reputation seems to be getting worse?
Definitely lots more will be waitlisted. And it sucks because some people are only relying on this one acceptance and they give you hope all the way till august and then deny you. Super unethical, but it’s the game.

Has anybody who interviewed on Jan 15 heard back yet?
good luck to you all!
I interviewed on Jan 22 and they told us that the admissions team will reconvene at the end of Jan/beginning of Feb to decide on interviewees. Hopefully we’ll hear back soon!

How long did it take for people who interviewed post decision day to hear back after their interview?

bad rep? i dont think this is a correct assumption. their 2019 class had 26 specialty matchings, two of which were to UCLA.

But everyone seems to have the same complaints and heard the same bad rep from current students at Roseman. That’s enough speculation to get any student to want to be as far away as possible.
