I think that's just a spot to explain what may be perceived as 'questionable' lapses in enrollment. It took me ten years to get through undergrad; I had some explailning to do. For instance, I had to drop classes a couple of semesters to work full time, and then there was the 'pregnant with Amber' thing that seemed to take up nearly two semesters....😀 I don't think I would worry too much about your situation. 🙂

Besides, if anybody says anything, just whip out the pilot stick. 😉

I talked to the Admissions office at UTSA and they said they would notify ppl via telephone call first if they've been pulled...

then, a few days later (today) I talked to the registrar's office and they said they will notify ppl via mail (and no phone call).

Not sure what to believe... regardless... I haven't seen anything in the mail, or any phone calls w/ a 210 area code...

SIGH!!! 🙁

The admissions committe is definitely calling people. Don't listen to the registrar's office.

'course if someone really was busting your chops about it, you could slide into:

May 15th is significant because you can only hold 1 seat at an AMCAS school after May 15th....so this could cause a 'dominoe effect' and result in some waitlist movement! Someone correct me if I'm wrong.....

I would love to go to a Texas school just like everyone else on this page, but if I don't get in I could either go to an out of state DO school or a post-bach MD program that almost guarantees that you get in. So basically my backup plan is to be a DO in 4 (expensive) or an MD in 5 (expensive plus 1 more year of tuition). I do not want to turn this into a DO vs MD thread but I would like to know what you guys think about this.

That where I'm at currently. Are you holding any OOS acceptances?

I think things will really move between now and July 1. However, at some point prior to that, I will be fully committed to a school due to buying a home (and getting sick of waiting for some direction).

Are you kidding? If your already in at a DO school..then def GO! Go become a Doctor and dont waste another year. Youll pay off the loans when you start practicing, just think about the lost year of income, if you worried about the money. A lot of us would love to be in your possition, anyway thats my 2 cents, good luck. Just wandering, why would you not go? and what DO schools are you accepted to? congrats!
