***The Official Midwestern University-Illinois Class of 2020 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

Hi! Good luck to all!
Just wondering if anyone that has been accepted knows of where we can start talking about/looking for roommates and apartments! I'm from FL and have no idea where to look!

The FB page is a good place to start. Is that you posting at the page? I'll message you with more details.

They will respond to all post Dec interviews mid March.

they do decisions at the end of each month though and jan interviewees were told they would know in 2-3 weeks and feb were told 4-5 weeks so i doubt it would be mid-March for Jan ones

How do you know that?

how do you know this if you don't mind me asking ?
R u for sure?

I am a current Masters student here and run into Abbie here and there--she said no decisions until all interviews are done which is in four weeks. I guess something changed that they rather wait and meet everyone. Last week they told me they have 160 people left to interview.

Sorry i know this isn't good news, but it is what it is.

Looks like I have to buy that plane ticket after all lol

if you don't mind me asking, did you interview in jan or feb?

not mid march, they said definitely before March.
I interviewed early Feb and they said they will get together and review end of February and it will update on the portal if you are accepted (their website, not aadsas).

March is way too late since Jan people still haven't been considered.

Does anyone have any tips for the interview process or what it is like and what types of questions they ask? I read it was MMI format so not sure exactly how to prepare. Also how is the school and what is the town like, I am OOS so any feedback would be great 🙂

Rehearsing your interview technique at home. Review interview questions that submitted to this forum. You should go in the interview room prepare, relax, and polite. You should answer their questions in a way that show off your critical thinking. I mean like how do you reach that conclusion, why do you think about answer is logically correct.

Current MABS too, I'm confused on what is going on.. they told my group we would know at the end of the month (we interviewed February 1st), I thought it was rolling admissions, so why would they wait to meet everyone?

Hello SDNers,

I had some personal circumstances which delayed my DAT until a few days ago (several deaths in my family) even though I had submitted my application in June. No school had denied me yet, but I needed to quickly take the DAT to be considered. Midwestern is my top choice and they will receive my score in time to review, but I think I lost my shot. Do they have cutoffs which are "hard" cutoffs?

I ended up with
PAT- 19
RC-24
TS-15
AA-17

Aside from this I have 40+ post bachelor credits with a 3.7 GPA as well as a Master's degree with a 3.6 GPA, undergrad GPA was a 3.1. In addition, I believe I have stellar LORs and extracurriculars. Aside from my DAT I think my application is actually pretty strong, but I am under the impression I have no shot. Let me know your thoughts, I know schools won't care about circumstances like family deaths, but I hope I have a small chance.

those are pretty good stats, but that low TS/AA scores combined with how late it is in the cycle makes me think you will be better off getting ready for the next cycle.
Early application will be important, but boosting up those AA/TS will be equally important or more so than the early app complete date.

I interviewed here about a year ago, Feb 19th and remembered hearing back I think on March 2nd. So the majority of those who interviewed should hear back soon. Just be patient and stay positive, the waiting game can mess with your heads. For those of you who are interviewing, use the interview forum on this site to your advantage, they ask similar questions. My advice is to know yourself and be comfortable and confident in your responses. If you guys have any questions, I'll be glad to help!

And yeah the school is pretty dope

Is anyone interviewing this week?

Hi guys,
I interviewed January 25th and I was also told we would hear early/mid February at my interview. I emailed Abbey today and she replied back "You'll probably hear something within the next few days; I promise it's soon! 🙂". Hope this helps for anyone else who is waiting!

I've been hearing rumors left and right about when we're supposed to find out....I sure hope so !

I interviewed in Feb as well. I know of two people with feb interviews that got an acceptance around 2pm idk how this works but I'm freaking out.

Just curious... Anyone who interviewed and waiting to hear back, check their Midwestern portal? Because they said that the portal will be updated first. Or is everyone using email as the main way of figuring out their status?

Hey, did you hear back yet via email or portal?

Is anybody who interviewed taking a prerequisite in your last semester? My portal changed today with an academic checklist saying the course is "Needed for application to be complete." I thought all schools allow prerequisites to be taken last semester and made any offer of acceptance contingent on getting at least a C in that course. Is Midwesttern different? I assume not as I was interviewed, but it's odd that this changed now.

I also interviewed and got that checklist. But there aren't any classes I need to take

So does that mean waitlisted if we have not gotten an email yet but, the portal changed?
